He was hoping to get paid after winning the MIP, which I dont blame him for wanting a contract extension after last season. Rockets treating their free agents like crap. Aaron Brooks shouldn't have let it get to him but it did. Both sides suck right now.

AB wasn't and still isn't a free agent.

In the end Landry, Lowry, and Scola all got paid very well.

I am really grateful to not giving him the fat contract extension after that MIP stuff. We cannot depend on someone to lead us to glory land, especially when someone let things get to his head that easy.

Brooks is mentally weak as I can see. That ankle sprain could be a blessing in disguise to the Rockets organization.

Do you think they would have gotten Paid MORE if they were unrestricted?
Rockets use good Strong Arm business tactics.

this is why we never give up on our players and and make assumptions.

AB what you did was stupid. I'm glad you're the person i thought you were. You will rise again, but only you have to the ability to decide that.

This perception comes from Morey's dealing with Landry's agent. That guy wouldn't play ball and people conveniently forget he was "negotiating" Landry's contract through the media who he had on speed dial.

The Rockets did his agent a solid during his rookie year when Landry was out for an extended period because of a knee injury. His agent requested that the Rockets not divulge the seriousness of that injury during that time. The Rockets took a PR hit during that period. Even after this the agent wouldn't stop bad mouthing the Rockets.

Nice contrition from AB. He seems to be a very stand up guy. I was ready to hang him too but he said the things I needed to hear as a fan. He definitely deserves a second chance.

I'm sure the city of Houston is on the edge of its seat waiting for them to comment.

To use a cliched phrase, he did seem genuinely sorry for what he did. I like the guy and hope he remains a rocket (even as a bench player) for a long time to come. I don't know about his ability to start consistently, but I like our odds when we have him on the team.

Maaaaaan.....I really don't want to trade AB. I keep going back to that postgame with him in the red blazer and bowtie.

nice point. But i thionk its a double edge sword. With their contract situation looming over their heads constantly players don't play as well.

And in brook's case CONFIDENCE is HUGE. Thats why he was able to do so much better as a starter.

People like tmac have realy hurt this organization even after leaving. Now players not deserving of that treatment get it.
