Interpol is one of my favorite current bands. I was fortunate enough to see them in Nashville this past July as a part of the Curiosa Festival. They were everything I was hoping they would be and more.

Everything on "Turn on the Bright Lights" is fantastic, but my favorite song is "NYC".

The follow-up, "Antics", is a very strong album but not as consistently good overall as TOTBL. However, I think "Evil" (the 2nd track) is their all-time best song.

i saw them in austin last year at emos. the setting was remarkable. it was absolutely freezing outside (and, of course, "inside" of emos) and freezingrain/snow was falling lightly and blowing into the crowd of about 250 people. everyone was wearing black and huddled-up close to each other. i know this band is from NYC, but clearly their music harkens back to the manchester days of the late 70's and early 80's. it was like we were at a Joy Division concert in 1979. unbe-freakin-liveable. it is because of this extra-ordinary experience that i did NOT attend the show last night. i wish to preserve that moment forever.
i'm glad you had a great time.

Huge HUGE fan of this band and I was fortunate enough to catch them at the Curiosa concert here in August. Awesome friggin' band and their CDs will be stuck in my changer for a very long time, or atleast until the new T00L album is released.

Favorite tunes at the moment have got to be Stella and Leif Eriksson. Dig the darkness.
