Thanks, folks! Yeah, if I keep something like this running even for a couple of years it will have paid for itself and with better performance to boot.
No need. You can see the Rockets via NBA League Pass if you're in Austin. I know on DirecTV you get both home and away feeds in HD. With TWC in Austin it's always in SD and no choice of commentators. Not sure about Uverse though
Off to a great start with Comcast. They have already randomly changed and screwed up my installation appointment after I moved a bunch of work meetings for the appointment we originally scheduled... 20 hours ago. LOL. Turrrible.
Okay, now running Clutchfans 24 Mbps download speed, wireless. COMCAST missed their install appointment, but I didn't really have any trouble setting up my modem/router once they activated the line (via their call bank in the Philippines.) Man, I'm glad you all gave me the cable feedback. This is like 10x what we had with our pathetic old service, and it's cheaper.
Yep, Comcast Internet is damn good - And for me, it has been up and running 99.9% with only two outages that I can remeber in the last year or so. It's expensive as hell though, I'm currently paying $60-80 a month for 50+ down and 5+ up. I have no idea why my bill fluctuates so much, but Comcst and I have a REALLY checkered past and I don't want to draw any attention from them... So I just pay it.
You more than likely could get it cheaper if you visit one of their stores. I'm paying $29 for the same service (50 (closer to 60) down 12 up , new subscriber (one year guarantee price ) Lady at the highway 6 in Sugarland location told me to come see her in a year to negotiate a lower price than the standard cost.
I have AT&T DSL and I'm currently getting ripped off and looking for a new internet plan. I'm paying close to 50 dollars for Internet services and ultimately 80-90 dollars after all the charges are incurred. I'm only getting 3.34 Mbps DL speed and 0.66 Mbps UL speed. AT&T is also saying that for every 10GB of downloading I do, they will charge 10 dollars extra, so I'm done. I'm moving on. Anyone know of affordable yet speedy and reliable internet services I could sign up for in East Houston? Will rep.
I'm also looking to leave Uverse internet as the speeds are too slow to handle all TV's and the signal blows. Only getting 15-20 down, need moar.
I also have Comcast and love the internet speed at 50mbps. My bill which includeds internet, cable(hd) and HBO is about $120 a month. But the customer service is straight up trash!
