Which package should I get? I'm not a big fan of Norton, but you can try and convince me.

Seriously, though... what's so good about this product?

I know Microsoft is the devil but the Windows OneCare product is pretty good and getting better. You can't beat the price either. I think it is $50 (I think) and you can install that on 3 PC's. I've been on it since it was in Beta and it isn't even remotely as intrusive or a resource hog like Norton.

It usually ranks at the VERY TOP of virus detection rates, and speed of updates. It's sometimes a bit of a resource hog, and maybe more complicated than most folks need, but I think it does a great job.

If this is for homeuse, AVG free or Avast! free are good scanners.

For net security, try Neoava guard beta. It's powerful stuff.

I'm pretty cautious with what I put on my computer so I can't say that I've fully tested these programs.

I read somewhere that AVG is doing away with the free version of its antivirus program.

I use ZoneAlarm & Avast at home.

    Also MS Defender.

    All are FREE.
