My laptop has some weird internet connection issue. It can connect wirelessly to internet fine in some places, but doesn't connect to some others. In that one access point (public wifi, no encryption), it always stalls at the stage of assigning ip. Since other people at the same place can connect to the network fine, I assume it's my computer's problem. It shows "signal strength: very good". but "limited or no connectivity". It's annoying as hell since it limits my mobility. Any idea what the issue is? some additional information: It has intel pro wireless 2200BG hhcp enabled: yes autoconfigration enabled: yes Thank yall
Vista? This may be of little help, but when I have a problem like that I usually put my computer to sleep and then wake it up. After doing that once or twice, it will eventually work.
do you ever "repair" (right click on the network connection where you are seeing limited or no connectivity)? That works for my work laptop (XP).
