Alright I know its a longshot, but say we end up with the #1 overall pick this summer, and although not likely,, LeBron James, the future of the NBA is there ready to be taken, LeBron wants to play his natural position the 2 spot, man are saying that right now he's as good as almost anyone in the league. Do we draft him and trade Cuttino Mobley in Steve francis' walk year, or do we pick him and trade him, and in a few years down the line look like Charlotte for dealing away Kobe, I know this is an unlikely scenario, but its just something to think about. I say if this scenario were to happen we just trade Francis and Mobley because I do not really want players on my team who are the GM, Francis and Mobley for the #2 pick and some cap fillers, that would be pretty intriguing, A Jason Williams(#2) and LeBron James(#1) backcourt would be just as good if not better than a Mobley Francis one.

Isn't LeBron James a junior in HS. Technically, he can't even be picked.

JayZ: That's very debatable. From what I've read, if James sued the NBA, he'd probably be allowed to play. You can't discriminate on the basis of age. Usually, that's invoked regarding older people... but it also could potentially work with younger guys as well.

James has stated, however, that he won't challenge the NBA on the issue. Probably doesn't want to make enemies from the beginning...

If he knows he is going to skip college, is it illegal for agents to start recruiting him. If not, he myswell milk them for all he can and just chill and play ball during his senior year of high school.

Unless he's already 18 (which being a junior in HS he's probably not), he can't sign a legal contract without his parent's authorization. Now if his parents allow him to drop out, that's their judgment call. Also, there are several jobs with age requirements.

cry from doing well in the NBA

    KG had size
KOBE had his father [a former nbaer]
Even they took a good 3 yrs to get very good.

I'm not looking long term right now. . tired of rebuilding
lest you get stuck in constant rebuilding . ..

OH WAIT. . THEIR's THIS FETUS THAT WILL BE GOOD IN 17 yrs
Why not trade Francis for him now. . and stop pile some other picks
