don't forget the Bluetooth headset when you buy it! looks, ok, looks like the comparable VZW version of the Samsung Glyde here's the review of the Instinct over at phonescoop http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.php?a=197 http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1449 <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/smdBCOx6Hvs&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/smdBCOx6Hvs&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
This is the sprints iphone? Did this just come out? I just dropped four hundred three weeks ago on a blackberry pearl
No rebate or discount? My wife got a Pearl through Sprint when our contract was up for $99 after discounts and rebate (Sprint gave us the rebate without having to go through the rebate process).
I have the phone and paid $229 but there is a $100 MIR. I think its a very nice phone, definately the best Sprint phone I ever had. A lot of features are pretty similiar to the Iphone and the GPS on it is great. The drawback to it is that the internet browser on it really blows imo. Its kind of slow and not as easy to use compared to the one on the Iphone. Another drawback is that if you had a great plan with Sprint ,like SERO plan then you wouldn't be able to get this phone. They make you get on one of their Simply Everything plans if you want to purchase the Instinct.
If you're going to copy the iphone almost exactly, why would you make a crappier browser and more buggy touch screen, and eliminate the feature that flips the orientation automatically based on how you hold the phone? You'd think they would copy the year-old technology and improve on it, not make something less than the original.
You can wait for the HTC Touch Diamond http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/05/06/htc-touch-diamond-all-gussied-up-and-official/ or the HTC Touch Pro (adds a slide out qwerty keyboard) http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/04/the-htc-touch-pro/
Thanks, the internet browser is the most important thing for me. I'll stick with the Treo. Thanks again guys!
The Touch diamond looks like VGA sweetness. There are some accounts that Opera works on it, but takes a little more work to get it because of the lack of a touchpad. http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165588
I get a $99 rebate but I had to get the internet service for 12 months for it to happen. In the long run I spend a lot more money than that ninty nine dollars by spending 30 a month for the internet.
just go to best buy to check it out..it's 130 out the door with a 2 year contract...no rebates nothing. BUT sprint is now requiring you change your plan to one of those "simply everything plan" so check the details on that before you buy it.
