What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 60 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.
What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 61 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.
Or at least used a <b>lot</b> more sparingly. The re-use of the misspelling "<b>in</b>known" still amuses me a little, though.
What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 62 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.
Doesn't annoy me one bit. Playoffs or not, this thread still is a great example of why to never throw in the towel. I don't know how you can call yourself a fan or, if you are a player, a competitor if you even mention the idea of tanking your games.

Just curious who wins the "inknown commodity" award and gets to grandstand over the other: you or JWhaley?
I, too, do not understand why so many find this joke so funny. Typos happen all the time. The "I" is right next to the "U." It's just not funny. Maybe it's because I only have 500 posts.
It's one of those "I guess you had to be there" jokes. It started when the OP made a completely silly suggestion to tank the season after 10 games. The fact that he had a typo just allowed everybody to needle him a little and it just grew. We have lots of those around here. Kinda like the Sura Faints joke or the "Splash" joke. Its not funny unless you read the original thread.
He wants credit for having no faith in our team before injuries crippled our season? Aw hell no. Obviously not a Houston sports fan who's followed the Astros last 2 seasons. Minus one T-Mac or Yao injury, we'd be in the playoffs now.
