Mirsday Turckan who is playing today for C.S.K.A Moscow was selected for the MVP for the 1st round (which icluded 32 teams) of the Euro league ,after averaging about 18 ppg and 14 rpg (1st in Europe). he's playing really well ,and I really think Houston could use him this season. last season ,I think Turkcan was believed to be a better player than Andrei Kirilenko for exemple. I saw them both playing and I think Turkcan is better .. but...I also saw Pau Gasol playing and I though he wasn't that good. when he played for the youth national team of Spain ,Israel kicked their ass. look at him now ,gonna win ROY. Will he ever play for the Rockets? If he's better than Kirilenko, I think we could use him somewhere. What's the whole deal with him or, at least, what's keeping him from playing for us now?n
The Rockets don't have any rights to him any more. Last time I knew he was on the Knicks IR. I believe the Rockets released him, Philly picked him up and then traded him. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/mirsad_turkcan/bio.html There's the best I got on a search...says he is on the Knicks, but I don't know how reliable that is considering it says he was drafted 18th overall by Philadelphia. I also don't think the Knicks would've traded a first rounder for him.
