The consistency is pretty good tonight. We rolled out with a game plan, but OKC shut us down. We were unable to get to the paint, so we moved the ball around around the perimeter to get open 3s. We got lucky and went 60% on 3 pointers in the first half.

After half time, OKC adjusted and switched on the picks to always have a hand in the shooters face. They shut us down on the perimeter.

Neither Howard or Jones had any alley oops. Howard let the physical play of Adams and Perkins get to him. Therefore, Ibaka and Perkins always gambled to block our guys going on drives. Only Harden could get through with some fancy euro-steps and super-star bail out calls.

We don't shoot mid range jumpers, OKC switched quickly to shut down our permieter shooting and Howard faded in the post allowing Ibaka to shut down Lin/Harden/Parsons drives. This meant we had no way to score in the 2nd half. It was up to McHale to make some adjustments, but you know how that always turns out.

Yes, the media is clearly to blame here (commence eye rolling).

TNT has amazing coverage, and Barkley is hilarious.

Some homer tell the broadcasters to quit their b****ing. I don't want to hear it. Email them with insults.

I believe after this game Rockets are going to make a trade. It's obvious they are not yet championship contenders, and I think Morey is gonna get players that can push them into that level.

I believe Lin and Asik can get the team a pretty good value player. Maybe even adding Parsons and or TJones.

I am hoping the team trades Lin.

Kerr is also the biggest Rockets hater of all the National TV announcers (and it's not even close). He even exclaimed YES!!!! when Durant made a three tonight because he cheers for anyone the Rockets play.

He's a b**** and he's always pissy when the Rockets are up and back to normal when we're losing. It's from before this season, but he is mad we beat down his Spurs twice this season, and blew out his Bulls and stole Asik and Scola.

I don't blame the media. It just makes the loss worse because we have to hear these guys say how bad the Rockets are nationally (like always). The Rockets seem to lose a lot of national games. Too bad every game can't be like that Christmas game against the Spurs.

    You trippin'

This sounds true to me. We are not consistently good.

The Rockets are an above average team who will most likely suffer the same fate as last season.

Clear the books (Lin and Asik) and hope players want to sign here for less.

It is coaching. No adjustments. We played well the first half. The second half, they made adjustments, and we seemed to make no effort to match it by making our own. It is as if McHale just gives the ball and says go play. Incredibly frustrating.

"The Rockets are not legit contenders."

    -Chuck
    ...Shaq agrees

Well no ****. who said they were? Maybe a few homers, but you can find Lakers fans who still believe they're contenders once Kobe returns.

Shaq calling out Harden...forgets he is only 24.

To be honest, I don't care that the Rockets don't have a playbook...BUT WHY DON'T THEY AT LEAST RUN THE PICK N' ROLL? Lin, Dwight, and Howard were supposed to be so good at it, but Howard doesn't for some reason. WHY? Is it because it puts Howard in foul trouble and the refs call moving screens (I notice Howard is extra careful when setting screens)...or is it not part of Morey's offensive philosophy? Does McHale hate it?

Asik used to run it with Harden to get him open looks. Why doens't Dwight? Is he too small?

Can someone refresh my memory how Howard got to the Finals? Was that Orlando team so much better than the current Rockets squad?

Pointing out that the Rockets made an NBA record of stinking up the 2nd half after scoring 73 in the 1st.... that's their goddam job. If it was the Bobcats playing on nat'l TV, they'd do the same.

I think Clutchfans get used to hearing Drexler wax poetic about DH dunks or something. I love it, but national announcers are *always* going to be different. TNT has some of the best. Pointing out that chucking up 3s and playing loose defense a championship contender does not make...isn't really rubbing salt in anyone's wounds.

Yes they were. The 09 rockets squad was so much better than this squad, and that orlando team played in the east.

Don't forget about SVG actually knowing how to use Dwight at a high level and actually coaching/drawing up plays
