My CD player hasn't been turned on since 2002, it has become a relic. All new CD's I purchase get uploaded on my iBook and then placed in a box. Then I just take my iPod everywhere. In the car, at home, work, gym, during sex, etc. Which is why I couldn't post in the "whats in your CD player thread'," listening to cd's just feels wierd know. Many of you out there have an iPod (or something similar) and have various playlists with catchy names for multiple occasions. So for the more technologically advanced post whatever iMixes you currenty have. Don't go overboard though and list 40 songs on a "Workout" iMix. My newest creation. GriffinFan, there's no such thing as an iMix... percicles just made that up... ... it's either a PlayList or a SmartPlayList on iTunes. My weird names for playlists include: Gay 80's - dance music and general 80s bands like erasure, Wham!, UB40, etc., but not necessarily GAY... not that there's anything wrong with that No Talking - songs without lyrics, like Propellerheads' Spybreak, Moby's Get Busy Child, etc. Heavy Shiznit - Rock Ballads like Scorpions, Van Halen, Cinderella, etc. Cumbias - songs in English with a Cumbia beat Themes - Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, etc. Metropolis - songs I used to listen to while going to that club on Richmond and Fondren in my yesteryears while admiring my now wife dancing. I have individual bands like Maná, Pesado, Bronco, Linkin Park, Van Halen in their own lists.
There is a such thing as an iMix. Surprised you guys haven't seen it. Maybe it is new on version 6, but it is indeed there. Basically it is a playlist you can put up on iTunes. But it can only consist of songs that are on iTunes. So, it is kind of limited. Basically, it is an attempt to give people an idea of what to buy or share your likes with others. I checked it out last night. Now if you could link to it from a blog or web site, then it might be useful.
Quick question for you Ipod experts: What's the best (legal) web site to download music for an ipod that uses play for sure??
No clue whatsoever, I was just trying to help my Cousin out with the scoop on whatever anyone recommended
iTunes, most sites sale DRM'd WMA files that iPods can't play. eMusic.com says that they sale regular mp3 files but I've never used them so I can't vouch for them but it seems like it would work.
