Oops... Y'all are right. I was in a hurry when I wrote that. Thank goodness my baby was only 6 lbs! Phew!
Congrats Darkhorse! I remember you mentioning something about your wife being due at Live Sports Cafe but didn't realize it was that soon.
Typical Texas baby boy is about 16 lbs. After the circumcision he should be down to the national average of around 7 lbs. I thought about starting my own "I'm a daddy" thread. She was only 9 lbs 1 oz. This is my first baby and it's been an amazing experience, so major congratulations to you Darkhorse! Since this is my first baby, I've been major paranoid about her since she was born. The first night, I couldn't bring myself to sleep because I was afraid that she would stop breathing at any moment. I couldn't really grasp the miracle that once she takes that first breath she's good to go on and on and on... The funniest part of my paranoia is that when I wake up from sleeping, I always think that she is lying there on my chest. Then when I realize that she's not there, I start to panic and wonder if I smothered her. I go through all of the covers to see where she is until I wake up enough to realize that she's safely in the bassinet. Earlier today, my wife woke me up because she needed me to do something for her. All I could say was that I needed to go to the bathroom, so she was like 'Okay, go to the bathroom'. I was confused and I told her that I needed to go to the bathroom and could she take the baby so I could get up. I didn't have the baby, I was just having that weird dream that she was sleeping on me. My wife has been making fun of me all day for it.
Congratulations to both of you, DarkHorse and firecat! Maybe you two could do an arranged marriage thing... My last daughter was 11' 6" -- I guess mrs. giddyup still has the board record.
