I've been meaning to post this, but I haven't been on ClutchFans much lately. My wife and I adopted a baby girl. She was born on March 22. We were able to see and hold her about eighteen hours after her birth and care for her full time starting on March 24. That's not usual, but the birthmother wanted us to have her as soon as possible. We had to spend about two and a half weeks in New Mexico, where she was born, and returned home on April 10. It was almost nine months exactly after we began the adoption process. She was 7 lbs. 2 oz. at birth, but she was 10 lbs. even at her doctor's appointment a week ago.
Congrats and good job on making it through the adoption process. I've known a few people who were so frustrated by it that they gave up.
Congrats...I've heard the adoption process is a little tiring...Glad to here it worked out for you guys...
Simply wonderful! Some good friends of ours adopted, and it was really difficult, so major kudos for making it through the process with your sanity apparently intact. And I agree, for sure, with those commending the decision you two made.
