no, it doesn't work like that.. even the best 3pt shooters need to be in rhythm or a special mental state to shoot a good percentage
anybody s percentages would fall down if hes gonna just to chuck it up with no conscience

Bingo...there are so many times Harden and crew and drive or drive and dish and have a better possession.....instead they are admant in wasting possessions.

I hate when the shot is not falling and we resort to this stupidty.

Its on Mike D the most.... settle them down....STUPIDDDDDDDDDD!

Request to change thread title to 'Rockets' offense'

Because that's exactly what ill advised 3s are.

Look, when you allow THAT Pelicans team to score 120 on you...offense isn't the problem.

I have nothing to back this, but it does feel like the team has taken the 3 point shooting up a notch this season with a willingness to almost default to bad 3's (covered many feet behind the three point line) instead of so much as trying to drive and get to the hoop. I'm fine with an offense built on 3's and layups, but at least try to get a layup, or a shot very close to the hoop which seems to be there often.

I think this team will adjust. The one adjustment they will have to get better at is running the offense when James is doubled. We are not nearly quick enough moving the ball out of his double teams which allows teams to recover very quickly and doesnt allow us to take advantage of guys basically left wide open. James for his part takes too long to get the ball out of his hands and doesnt trust the first pass at times, while other guys get the ball and hold on to it or dont make the right pass to the open man quick enough, thus stalling the offense and resulting in a pass back to James with less than 10 seconds left, only for him to get doubled once again....

No doubt. Long rebounds and the other team is off to the races for easy layups. The fact is we’re taking more 3’s and shooting low percentage as a team. Add to that a poor defense and we’re no where close to competing with the top teams

I don't know how much we will adjust. We are lacking the talent defensively, ever since Ariza and Luc left. We are lacking in height, and the small ball doesn't work against all teams. We are very inconsistent, and have very streaky 3 PT shooters. We can adjust, but is it really enough? I think we are in desperate need of a big time forward, with more height, who can put up double digits in every game and play some mean defense. I don't know if we will ever have that star, but I wish Morey would find him. Tucker is a beast, but a horribly streaky shooter. Green is a very streaky shooter as well, and Ennis doesn't shoot much, and is OK on defense. We need a big time player, and not a discount bargain good player, to really become dominant while James has his parts intact.

It's the way they did it that was embarrassing. They just drove into the rim all night with ease.

imho actually we were quite good vs good teams
those ill advised shot rockets mainly take when they coast, think theyll get an easy win or when tired
