I told my friends this last night... The only reason there's never been an 0-3 comeback in the World Series is because the Astros have never been to the World Series. We're about to witness history.
I would think it was over if we had been blown out 3 games in a row, we have been there every game, I still believe.
I believe we would have won two, if not all three of these games had we played a little more small ball in bunting situations.
Like most of you I was pretty depressed when I went to sleep last night. Honestly I was laying in bed for a few hours thinking about everything that went wrong with the Stros and even everything that has gone wrong with my own competitive sports life. Waking up though this morning though I still got hope. Yes we've lost three games in a row but if you look at the games there really are two problems that can be fixed. 1. Our pitchers are shaky but this problem is nullified that their pitchers are looking shaky too and we're able to get on base against their relievers and starters. 2. We're not getting clutch hits with runners in scoring position. This has been a problem that has bedeviled us for most of the season but it is something that can be corrected. We got clutch hits in the both the Braves and the Cards series so we know the Stros can do it. Yes we're down and the odds are against us but we know its not impossible. Boson did it last year and while we aren't as good as an offensive team as the 2004 Red Sox we are a much better pitching and way way better fielding team. Its still possible for us to pull this out. It aint over till its over. GO STROS!
seems like we could've been 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, or at <b>worst </b> 0-3.......and we are 0-3............but so be it, we've never done anything the easy way......this is still the closest one sided series i've ever seen........as a believer, all i can say is one game at a time baby......one game at a time......right now its about survival for the Astros.......to play another day........either way, I'm damn proud of this team!!
If there's one team I believe that can erase an 0-3 deficit, it's this Astros team. Never underestimate the heart of a champion....and last time I looked we are still the NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
