Blasphemy. I wish you were kidding. Quitten was called Robin at one time, but that was blasphemy too. No self respecting Batman would ever let that loser into the Super Friends.
BEEN A DIEHARD ROXS FAN FOR 19 YEARS! HIGHS, CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND LOWS, SOME VERY LOW, I’VE NEVER STOPPED FOLLOWING MY ROXS! CURRENT FAVORITE, YAO MING!! STEVIE VERY CLOSE 2ND AND I LOVE THAT WE PICKED UP JIM JACKSON!!
I am a Rockets fan; they are easily the best pro sport franchise in Houston and are among the top 5 traditions in the NBA. I was 13 in 1981 when I went to my first NBA game to see the playoffs between Houston and LA. Back then, first round series were only best of 3 (in fact, they were lengthened to best of 5 largely as a result of this series). The Rockets won game 1 in LA but came up just short in game 2 at the Summit ( Magic fouled out in the fourth giving hope for a comeback) but beat LA in game 3 to begin the road to their first Finals appearance. I was also in the building for game 4 of the 1986 Western Conf Finals against LA again, this time the Rockets came out of a close game with a win, setting the stage for the last second Sampson shot (the biggest shot in franchise history till that point) that sent the Rockets to the Finals once again. I have been rooting ever since.
I will be 25 next week and I have been a fan for the better part of 20 years. My life in intermediate school and high school was watching the Rockets. I remember when the Houston Post would have "buy one get one free" Rockets tickets (maybe they should try that again). When I went to UT for college in '97, I didn't follow as much...no broadcasting, etc. Now that I'm back in Houston, I watch religiously again. ROF all the way!

I remember when I first got my regular nintendo, and I got that TECMO NBA BASKETBALL game, I went to chose the team the first time and closed my eyes, and picked Rockets. Ever since then, I've always played with them and also became a hardocore fan, I've been down with them through the good and the bad, always kept my hopes up, and looks like there's more good to come in the near future. Go rockets.
so-called definition of yof: if Yao leaves Hou, the person won't follow rox any more. Something for you to ponder is is Yao a YOF ? How would he react to somebody who's the same as himself.
I meant "same attitude". If people think some posters are dumb you can try diss the guy. But don't diss YOF in general coz you are dissing Yao at the same time. Many other things like knowing who Havlicek is or watch rox since 5 years old etc I'm pretty sure Yao don't possess either.
My favorite player is Steve. I started watching basketball in the second half of his rookie season. Anyways Stevie will always be my favorite player. And even if he gets traded. But whenever the Rockets meet Steve's Team Im rooting for the ROX.
you know what? most of us absolutely love any rocket player that has worn a Rocket jersey... there is just some about our players that says good guy all over it.. OT, Horry, Cassell, Elie just to name a few... but for some reason, when the players leave our teams, we are still loyal to our teams.. So I think if Francis got traded, most of us would still follow Francis's stats and record.. but of course would still keep the Rockets as our favorite team e
I've been watching the Rockets since 1984. I was in 4th grade at the time. It was Akeem and Ralph "twin towers" days. Druggies Mitch Wiggins and Lewis Lloyd were out, in came Eric "Sleepy" Floyd and Purvis Short. I loved basketball and the Rockets ever since
