I know people still want Rafer cause he can run the team and less TO and what not, but can yall see Aaron Brooks Filling that position...

I know it was summer leauge and i know JLIII did awesome in the summer league too, but it just seems Aaron Brooks would know how to run a team... Hes just so quick, can drive to the basket, finish with both hands, and his entry passes are just as great as Rafer's...

I jus have a good feeling about this kid

    Any Opinions???

AB may be a starter in the future...but he won't be the distributing point guard we need next year. That being said, if he keeps showing what he can do I could see him playing significant minutes by playoff time - but no he's not the pass-first point guard we need for the next season (besides, he likes to shoot to much anyway)

from that youtube video i just saw....i think he's already better than Rafer. he's got no hesitation on his shot, can finish with both hands...i think he's going to cause havoc

    Yeah, I think he could.

His only liabilities would be lack of experience and defense.

His outside shot is not a problem.

Heck, Luther Head played quiet a bit as a rookie, and Double A-ron is better.

You know I have a feeling about him too but we won't know anything untile we see him face real teams. Now I like how he showed up JJ on the Mavs. The mavs think really high of JJ and Brooks just let him have it. Brooks needs to be like Nash, only take over when needed.

I believe he would be awesome backup his jump shot is a thing of beauty......I love this forum about the rockets but why so much b****ing about the threads and where they should be posted and so on. I've never seen such BS about the correct way to post and the where abouts it should be etc. We are all on the same team.....Go Rockets!!!! quit b****ing!

Brooks is the one who can pass, not Rafer. What Rafer doing is "dribble safely and give it to TMAC and then wait for another loop".

Brooks is already better than Rafer on creating offense and finishing the drive.

Brooks needs consistency and experience, that's all.

personally i'd like to see them give him 20 minutes a game, and see what he can do...who says rookies can't start? if they've got it, they've got. just don't let him rot on the bench without giving him a chance. screw the seniority. talent should win out.

But luther played in a severly depleted team that year. If luther's rookie year was with the current team, I don't think he would get much playing time at all.

Brooks will be the starting point guard on this team this year. Mark it down! He's better than Rafer right now.

Not if Brooke can get by them with ease or pull up and bury jumpers after jumpers in front of them. ;) The players knows who has game and who is better by practicing with them everyday. If Brooke is truely good he will shine.
