I went to U of H, got looked down on by Rice kids every day of a finance internship and you still sound like an idiot.
For those of you upset that Rice students look down upon students at other colleges, take solace in the fact that Rice is the only college in Texas that only admits unattractive women. Never in my life have I seen a fuglier group of girls than I did at a couple of Rice parties that I attended
I went to Rice business school and learned about the college's reputation for feeling intellectually superior. I thought it was funny because I went to University of Chicago for undergrad and was looking down on them because they went to Rice.
Are those phrases that jealous Rice students say when discussing that although Rice chicks have mustaches, at least they are clean? BTW Rice students, no offense intended...it's a great education
yea, let's hate on a school because they take pride in maintaining their facilities, not to mention they're considered one of the best schools in the nation. btw, how can you judge snobbyness from a runner's face?
I don't know about best in the nation maybe in texas. The only time I heard harvard of the south was when I was on their campus tour.

I bought a doughnut, and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut. I don't need a receipt for the doughnut, man, I'll just give you the money, and you give me the doughnut... end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I just can't imagine a scenario where I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. Some skeptical friend: "Don't even act like I didn't get that doughnut! I got the doc-u-men-tation right here... oh, wait it's at home... in the file... under 'D'... for doughnut." all of his stuff has me cracking up.
What? You mean you were not aware that Rice has been considered one of the top schools in the nation for many many years? I just looked and U.S. News had it ranked number 17 in the nation this year. Others may rank Rice a little higher or lower, but almost everyone agrees Rice is one of the very best in the nation. When you consider that there are more than 5000 colleges and universities in the USA, having a school that is ranked among the top twenty is pretty special. Houston is very fortunate to have schools like Rice, Houston, and TSU.
To be fair, it is the fourth largest city in the nation. NYC has Columbia, NYU, etc. LA has UCLA, USC, etc. Chicago has the University of Chicago, Northwestern, etc. Hell, even Atlanta has Emory. Houston's slightly above average (for it's size), though, with Rice. Could be worse (i.e., Dallas).
