Just bought a new computer at Bust Buy that comes with $500 in various rebates. Six to be exact varying from $50 to $150 in refunds. I have had little success in collecting on rebates in my previous couple of attempts, but GD if they are gonna screw me this time. Any suggestions other than the obvious of reading the fine print and submitting in a timely manner? I'm actually inclined to send a copy of a letter in each rebate submission sent that I ve cced a lawyer on all the particulars.
Read the fine print and submit in a timely manner! I have two due to me for an external hard drive. I actually got an email saying BOTH are being processed! It has been my experience that if the rebate says 6-8 weeks for your check to arrive, you will receive the check in 8 weeks and one day. Yeah they suck, but you went for it didnt ya?!
I'm done with rebates. Best Buy is the worst for this crap. I'll buy all my stuff online or at Fry's.
For what its worth: My rebates from Intuit for TurboTax were very quick. I almost never do the rebate thing do to numerous irritating experiences, but I gambled this time. To my surprise, Inuit made me a very pleased customer.
