i hate bowen!!!

He also ****ed up Steve Francis the other day and sidelined him indefinitely.

Someone said this when describing Bruce Bowen on another forum. I thought it was spot on.

 

I dont get it. Why dont players from other teams slide their foot under him when he is shooting those 3s from the corner. Somoene should give him a taste of his own medicine.

NBA is wussied out now. Back in 80s or early 90s, Bowen would have been punched out of the league.

In another note Shaq O'Berto is 11-11 FG in this game.

Phoenix interior defense makes scrub interior players into superstars....well except scrub Juwan. He is beyond help.

Oh and Shawn marion comes up with the ugliest shots. I loved that airball 5 feet from the basket he threw up.

 

so when i hate raja bell, he's the clutchest mf'er ever, but when he can hit a ft to beat the spurs at home in crushing fashion (after duncan missing 2 ft's right before), he bricks it and the spurs go on to win. F you raja bell.

 

Although the Spurs are our rival, I dont hate them as much as the Jazz or Mavericks. The Spurs were usually a class act and I have nothing against them, although I do hope they loose to the Rockets. The only player on their team I can't stand is Bruce Bowen. He is one of the dirtiest players in the league if not the dirtiest. And it pisses me off even more that he never gets called for fouls because he is considered "a great defender." Instead of just playing hard-nosed defense like a Shane Battier, Bowen feels he can injure his opponent without consequence

 

Hopefully that was a Nick Anderson career free throw for Raja Bell. I cant stand his flopping @ss and that smug face.

Bruce Bowen sticks out his leg every freaking time to try to hurt the opposing player. I don't understand why the NBA doesn't suspend his azz for a long time. He tries to sprain other people's ankles. He did it to Tmac when he was in Orlando. He did it to Ray allen. He did it to Carmelo Anthony in the playoffs.
He has sprained a few ankles. He is especially b****y when the player he's supposed to guard has a big night. In that case, he resorts to punching and slapping and tripping players and hitting them in the face.

Like 'accidentally' breaking his neck and be paralized for life and have him lose all his money on medical bills and more.. Then maybe we can feel a bit of sympathy for him.

Because he doens't jump very high when he shoots those 3s. Plus there's no one close to him when he shoots it anyway. Bowen would have fit in just fine in the 80's and 90's.

Hmmm, 1st team all defensive player has no skills, yeah that makes tons of sense. He sticks his legs out every time? Do me a favor, watch the next Spurs game on TV, Bowen will probably be on the best perimeter player of the other team, so he'll defend around 20 shots. Go and write down how many times he stuck his leg under the other guy in those 20 opportunities. If it's 20 for 20 as you say, I will write an email to the league and make your case. I've got a feeling you can count the times on one hand, and perhaps it'll be an o-fer.

I'll take Bowen on the Houston Rockets anytime.

I would take any goon on the Rockets to knock somebody out, but that doesn't make them a basketball player

 

trying to say bowen isn't dirty is like jazz fans trying to claim karla wasn't dirty or something. look at that carter clip. carter is torching him to the tune of 43 points in a little over 3 quarters so bowen pulls a patented stick the leg under the jump shooter move to try and injure carter (again) and vince gets pissed.

damn shame how this always happens to a good guy like bowen. figure there's about 50 jump shots a game for each of 30 teams, times 82 games, about 120,000 jump shots a season, meaning tens of thousands are contested each year, and yet who seems to be the only guy who ever sprains people's ankles? bruce bowen. wow, i guess he's the only guy to ever be close to anyone on a jump shot and the only all-nba defender out there. i guess we're lucky no one is at his level on D, or the league would have to shut down from all the sprained ankles.

oh, and apparently he's the first person to ever get pump faked on a 3, and when you get pump faked on a 3, you have to karate kick people in the face. it's a good thing no one else ever gets pump faked, what with that automatic karate kick to the face that would follow. granted, we're all happy wally szczerbiak got kicked in the face, but what a shocker it was bowen that did it.

or tried to sprain allen's ankle, or did sprain francis', or tried to do it to kobe, and carter twice. all these damn coincidences.
