just talked to the manager of the store and he didnt seem to concerned about it or maybe he's just a really calm guy. they said they would "take care of me" aka ill have to schedule another installation appointment and be inconvienenced again. told him that wasnt good enough and ill be returning everything tomorrow for a full refund and im never going back to best buy. so its off to circuit city. serenity now! serenity now!
next time i go to best buy, as soon as i get into the store, i am going to tell them i dont need the warrenty. No thank you, I dont need the warrenty. As soon as i get to their cash register i am going to tell them, no thank you, i dont need the warrenty on the cd.
Well, at this particular location, I have had bad experiences to varying degrees the last 5-6 times I have been in there. I consider that to be more than a coincidence. I just posted the one story because it was so outrageous.
For the people in the Houston Area, what BestBuys do you guys go to? I usually frequent the one on 1960.
You are a wise man... Having worked at Best LIE, I can attest to the fact that they FORCE their workers to offer service plans for just about every product... The managers/comunists get bonuses from it, while common workers like myself don't make a cent from it. As an act or rebellion, I never bothered to offer people that, because chances are they don't want that crap, or else they would ask me for it. I hated hassling customers to spend EVEN MORE money. The last thing customers want is some pushy salesman. Best Buy=Evil Empire
Don't go to best buy for stereo installs. They don't do a good job. I'd go to CJ Sounds on Gessner. They do nice custom installs (even if you bring your own equipment).
I'd like to be one of those dumbasses who works at Best Buy, I here they get some good discounts. Maybe I can work weekends when I get back to school.
