Today,I got the news that the leader of Harakat al-Muq¨¡wana al-Isl¨¡m¨©ya, Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, was killed by Israel missible. Tell the truth, I sympathize Palestine on hearing the news though Israel is our good friends. Perhaps you Amercian will say that Harakat al-Muq¨¡wana al-Isl¨¡m¨©ya are terrorists. Actually they have been attacking Israel common people. But it is really that they are forced to do it in this way. Because Israel have Strong weapon system and get support from you. How do the Palestinian recapture their home? They can't knock tanks of Israel with their own flesh and blood! As a Chinese perhaps I am Officious. But I can get a lesson that I must let my own country be strong from Palestine even the whole Moslem's today predicament. If I haven't a strong motherland, my home will be robbed. And those people who have plundered my home will also call me terrorists!
well, I see. I should said that those people who have plundered my home will also say that my son or grandson are the terrorist.
DaDakota, you are right now. But please tell me why those Arabs attack Israels though they don't know each other.
when you facing the root causes of terrorism, like highly unbalanced power relations, foreign occupation, harsh repression, what can you do?after feeling the cold of this world since the day you born, after throwing stones at tanks in your childhood,,after never seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, after your love ones' lives been taken away before your eyes.do you have any ideas that how desperate a man could be to be a suicide bomber?i'm not going to justify palestinians' attacks on civilian targets, but they're not al-qaeda,they're not lauching a jehad against the western world, they just want their country back. and please, open a history book, try to forget your religion for a while, use your human sense ,your knowledge, quantum mechanics ,you'll find out which side is much harder to justified.then you realize this world is ****ed up,you panic, ask for help from god, join your crusades and march on,bearing motto "have to destroy in order to save".
They are not forced to fight Israel in this way. The Israelis are an occupying force, and should be resisted. In addition Israel has policies which discriminate against Palestinians based solely on nationality which have zero to do with protecting their own homeland. I believe that the best thing that Israel could do to protect it's borders would be to withdraw into those borders, and make them secure. An occupying army is never going to receive peace. But with that being said, terrorism gainst Israeli civilians is never an acceptable solution, and those that carry our such terrorism deserve to be punished.
Late in WW2, Japanese soldiers became suicide bombers and cannon fodder. They can be bound by duty or ideology. They can be bound by hate. In any case, these terrorists have forced a situation where one will win and one will lose. That's why suicide bombers are impractical. There is no compromising solution.
robbie380, your question is quite competent. I will answer you seriously. Say the east turkestan, do you know history of China? Or do you know who is real east turkestan people and where are they now? Today, descendant of real east turkestan people live in Turkey instead of China. Tujue clan was a strong nomadic people who lived in the northwestern part of China around more than 1,000 years ago. China at that time was Tang dynasty who also was a strong dynasty. But unfortunately Tujue clan was defeated by Tan dynasty in trial of strengths of two strong nations. So what can the east turkestan in Sinkiang represent today?
I think both the Israelis and Palestinians have lost any claim to the moral highground. On the one hand the Israelis have the right to defend themselves but how does maintaining settlements and seizing Palestinian land through questionable legalities or outright military expulsion do that? At the same time collective punishment and overwhelming force seems both excessive and hasn't proven to be an affective solution to terrorism. On the other hand the Palestinians certainly have a right to a largely continuous nation of there own and to fight against an overwhelmingly large military force but specifically targetting civillians using human bombs seems calluous and dehumanizing. Even worse its arguable that Palestinians could even score a much larger victory through an active non-violent movement along the lines of Ghandi or Nelson Mandela. I've always felf that a massive non-violent action such as forming a human chain around a settlement would do far more harm to the Sharon govt. than a hundred suicide bombings.
We came from animals,we are animals,we are going to be animals. But we are better animals. In stead of food, hunting territory, breed opporunities,we fight for god,for helen, for race, for oilfields and for mere stones. Then after two bloody fights, several most powerful animals made a decision to take five. They turned this wild planet into a zoo. They made the rules,so they can wander around the zoo freely to make sure they got the best feed,at the same time all the other animals have to stay in their cages. They armed with weapon called "let's all go to hell",so they can't fight against each other. They formed a country club,so they can discuss all the inter-cage affairs.Anything against any one of them, against their rules, are pest, aka "terrorism".Since that sleepy dragon is a founding member with some "let's all go to hell",with no doubt, the east turkestan group is a terrorist organization.Oh,what a beautiful world. Middel east? That's another story.Without the supprot from an eagle, simply the mightiest animal nowaday, that powerful but relatively small one would had been put down for quite a while.Without sympathy from all around the zoo which actually dosen't worth a penny ,that one with a cracked skull is old history. First and foremost, rule no.1: All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others.------George Orwell
Who is and ISN'T a terrorist is totally depended on your point of view. . . Tim McVeigh still lives for some odd reason and he is a terrorist THe Klan IMO is a terrorist organization yet we give them all kinds of leeway Rocket RIver
It might be considered blasphemy, but I would split Israel into at Jerusalem and erect a wall (ala Berlin) then fortify it with peacekeepers for a period of time. Enough is enough already. Both sides are so pigheaded that they would rather see their own total destruction than come to any kind of agreement with one another. I don't think either of them deserve anything so it would be fair in my opinion if a third-party goes in and gives neither of them what they want.
