Man, I thought I'd never hear myself saying this being one of the OPTIMISTS on this board but...

I think we need to look forward to next year. We have a lot of talent on this team, however, a lot of reckless and selfish play. These group of guys do not know how to win as much as I hate saying it. With Charles & Dream it's one thing, but without them...it's like a bunch of shool children with a substitute teacher. A lot of players on this Rockets team, as I have suspected, do not care about winning as long as they are paid. There is not much Rudy T. can do at this point, and it appears that no trades are in the works. Don't get me wrong, these group of guys have talent. I just don't think we have anyone to bring them all together on the floor. It will be very hard bringing a veteran to come here. Not too many Veterans that these players look up to. When Clyde came here, you had someone who had been to the Finals and was respected by the players. Even if a Grant Hill were possible to come here, do you think these players would listen to him? Let's face it... These players don't even listen to Hakeem. If Dream was really into winning, then why doesn't he travel with the team?Dream is just waiting for his contract to finish. I bet you if the Rockets paid the rest of his contract off, that he would retire at the end of the year. Also,Hakeem is going to be out for a while. I don't believe that he'll be back in the time frame they say because as we all know, Dream takes a long time to rehabilitate. Even during his early years, he didn't come back right away from injuries. One thing I did find out is that we DO have our first round picks intact. But being in the lottery assures us of a good pick anyways. However, I don't think there is another Tim Duncan coming out of the draft. I still love this team, but this is probably going to be the worst Rockets Season in History!! PLEASE PLEASE JUST BEAT NEW YORK !! Living in NY and losing to the Nets was embarrasing!! We need a win!! Please beat the Knicks!! PLEASE!!
