I believe the children are our future.......please let them see a playoff run before they get tired of the lottery. On the Bubba McDowell note, I remember when he did that I said, damn it is over and went bragging to my wife at the time.
Thanks Clutch. I agree that it's ridiculous we haven't clinched by now. Or, if not clinched, at least made SOME progress in reducing the magic number. I also agree that changes are needed, substantive changes, and that first-round-complacency would be a long-term mistake. I guess here's what I was trying to get at: If I had no knowledge of the standings, knew nothing of the Rockets record or their performance this year, and if I only looked through many of the threads, I would probably assume that the season was over and it was a complete failure. This isn't the case. We're at a low-point, sure, but there have been high points, as well, and the season will get better before it ends. Edited to add -- Maybe this is fate. (Actually I don't belive in fate or destiny or any of that claptrap, but work with me . . .) There's a good chance we'll wind up with the 8th seed. Despite the 2-game skid, the Lakers are gunning for the top seed, and I think they'll get it. Rockets vs. Lakers, Round 1, baby. Suddenly that blockbuster matchup doesn't look so impossible . . .
Don't you mean too painful to forget? I have that same feeling watching rockets games right now, only it's stretched out over weeks, instead of compressed into a couple hours.
I believe we will make the playoffs. My offseason wish is to get rid of Mo Taylor! I believe he is a cancer!
I don't even know what to say about this skid, it's killing me like everyone else. I still root for this team though, if they get rid of Steve Frances personally I won't like that decision, I think that he's a special player with a bad year. Anyway time will tell, I understand why some people want to blow the team up. Long-term however would we really be better suited doing that? Time may not tell that one if the team is left as is, but thanks for the optimism Rasselas.
Good Thread! I believe Rockets players have heart, but they have no brain. I still believe Rockets will make playoff and being competitive in the 1st round no matter we win or lose.
