With many parts West of 6 done I have just one question to ask: Isnt it Beautiful? How many of us have spent countless hours in a stand still on that highway? I live really close to 6 and 10 so pretty much everywhere I want to go I'm takin 10. For those of you who havnt been out west to see the finished product You really should. IT's worth all the construction delays.

When you say "west of 6" you mean HWY 6 right? what about East of 6? i'm more interested in the bottle neck that's in between Memorial City Mall and 610. hardly ever go passed the mall.

I thought you were being sarcastic. Isn't the 24 lanes of concrete beautiful? But yes, I'm sure some traffic releif is really nice to finally see.

frankly, it's much needed. they're working on the section near my home and office, moving east. can't wait until they're finished.

you're right..in the areas they've finished, west of town, traffic moves far better than it did before.

Speaking of beautiful...I love the new painted lines they've put on the SW Freeway. I can actually see the lanes I need to be in now when it's raining at night (which it hasn't done for awhile).

I'm really glad to see our tax money going towards traffic relief. That should be a priority with transportation spending.

yea you won't notice much relief for a couple years there. by feb 06 they should prob be finished with the few overpasses they have started rebuilding. Once you see some of the finished project though it will instill hope in you once more.

I stick by what i said. I 10 now is a concrete paradise. I HATED traffic and it was sooo bad before but slowly it is getting better and better

Don't worry, it will clog up again in a couple of years when more transplants start coming down to Houston.
