OK, I am going to TRY and not be too snarky here and I would ask that everyone else try to follow along. Let's say that the opposition wins but as a condition of taking the White House, the winning side is REQUIRED to find a position in their administration for both members of the opposing party ticket that best fit their abilities. So if you are an OBAMA supporter, you must find a legit job for McCain and Palin and explain why. The Opposite if you are a McCain supporter. McCain - Secretary of the Navy. No brainer here. Spent 22 years of service in the Navy, comes from a distinguished Naval background. Palin - Secretary, United States Fish and Wildlife Service (a unit of the United States Department of the Interior that is dedicated to managing and preserving wildlife.) She is familiar with Commercial fishing and an avid hunter. I think this fits pretty well.
your two answers are good. The natural non-president positions for BO are either Supreme Court Justice, Attorney General, or HUD secretary. For Biden, eh, he's a legislative creature but he might be a good labor secretary since he's got the working class thing going down. I'd ship McCain off to veterans affairs. Palin - uh, well, uh... hmm.. Bureau of Indian affairs?....Spokesman (only if questions aren't allowed)...
Mulder with the slow, hanging curveball over the plate.... ...and RMT hits it out of the park! (you guys set this up, didn' t you).
Palin is Easy, Secretary of Transportation because she loves building roads and bridges with Federal Tax dollars.
ummm, no. I'm not necessarily a tree-hugger, but Palin doesn't believe polar bears should be an endangered species because of how it will impact Alaska's oil revenuues, among other very questionable animal related stances. You can argue her positions one way or the other, but the last thing I would want is that much of a politician heading the wildlife department.
That's why you'd have to have a secretary of the interior above her so that he can overrule her when she wants to institute helicopter whale shooting.
It's insane to put Palin at Fish and Wildlife... they have responsibility for listing and delisting endangered species. that means they need to make decisions based on science that may have to do with polar bears and wolves. Thanks, but no thanks. (And it's a Director... serving under the Secretary of Interior... and the Assistant Secretary for Parks and Wildlife.) Nor would I put her in the Bureau of Indian Affairs... they have to manage a bunch of mineral royalties for tribes. EPA is also laughable... again, that job needs someone who understands science, not some whack job who would further reduce compliance inspections on polluters. McCain: Bureau of Prisons... that way, he can make sure the Wall Streeters and Bushers who end up going to prison can serve their sentences comfortably. Palin: I thought about the Energy Information Administration so she could learn something about her area of expertise and maybe finally figure out the true numbers for Alaskan energy, but I could see her trying to manipulate the numbers to benefit Alaska and her cronies. Then I thought about the Institute of Museum and Library Services because she looks sort of like a librarian, but then I remembered they channel grants to, obviously, libraries and museums... and I don't want those grants to go to whacko creationist museums and such. So, I'll go with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) because she would be an intellectual giant compared to much of their workforce.
