I was gonna reply to the Happy Thanksgiving thread but I think mines pretty much over. If yours is, how was it?!
BTW, I hope all of you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving :)

I was going to S.A. to see my oldest brother who lives there, mom & dad drove in, sis too! Lots of good food and blah blah blah!
My damn clutch went out between here and S.A.!

But I gotta look on the bright side of things...
Fortunately I was torn to exit #642 half way between here and there and stop by the Cactus Koral and "just look" at what they have, not like I need another cactus! Well, I didn't get another cactus I ended up with a bonsai plant.:)
Fortunately the clutch went out right before I was about the get back on the freeway.
Fortunately I had my cell phone and called for a towtruck but a towtruck just happened to be driving by in the middle of nowwhere looking for a different car and charged me only 50 bucks to tow me into Gonzalez Tx. about 20 miles away ( I was expecting more than 100 wouldn't you think?) AND his brother owned a garage it looks like perhaps I was gonna be out that same day.
Well the brother was out looking at some trucks for engine parts and his lazy ass worker wouldn't do anything till the bossman came home. Of course, I understand that. I waited in my truck, listened to Romie and watched every single truck in my rearview turn the corner hoping it was the bossman. I watched the 3rd brother taking an 18 wheeler cab off of his towtruck and taking another cab off of a truck to switch them. I watched a really big doggie try to screw this little pomeranian doggie. I 'll bet the dogs wouldn't look half bad being that they were both black dogs, probably make some medium sized dogs! 3 and a half hours passed and he finally got home. It seems..."the tire fell off the some-b**** and we had to leave it on the side of the road till they could tow it in." Soooo, my clutch wouldn't be done by the end of the day due to todays mishap that put them back a few more hours than aticipated. My familia were gonna have to come get me in Gonzalez Tx. but it just so happened that one of the mechanics lived south of S.A. and could take me as far as I-10 and 410 and could leave me at a truckstop. Good enough!
On the way to my truckstop, he talked up a storm! This mechanic guy was about 280 but was my height, around 5'10 or so! Bubba Deluxe! Told me 'bout his uncles and how they liked to drink and fight each other at any given moment. Once on the side of the freeway, once in a carlot, once between himself seated between the 2 in a pickup! They love drinkin and fightin'. He used to drink but it got to be where he could drink about a case a nite on Friday, Saturday and Sunday...and smokin' weed and sometimes acid too! (Well, anyone can drink a case of beer on acid ;)) oh yeah and "The car we was riddin' in was gonna be his 7th one to sell this year!" A really nice guy to give me a ride, he coulda gone 183 to where he was, for real!
I made it to the truckstop and my brother picked me up a little later. Turkey today and I drove mom and pops car home cuz I gotta work tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully the clutch will be ready on Friday and I'll meet dad in Schulenburg...mmmmmschulenburger.

Oh yeah, I got mom and pops car till all this happens.

    :(

Mine sucked. I had a panic attack (my first one in a while) and I hardly ate any food. Yay me.

I think pretty much everyone is full of it right now... including me. I woke up and played with the kids till noon...and watched cartoons :) ...did the usual thing...but then the planning came....what we were doing, where to go? How much time to be here, and there...If you're married, you know how time goes fast during times like these...I went to 3 houses all with internet access...ate lunch late at 2:30 p.m. and later at around 7 p.m.

I decided to take over the bbs:rolleyes: ......but realized I was being stupid and it isn't cool to take over the bbs...

    Houses: 1. friends
    2. in-laws
    3. my parents

By the end of the night, I felt so very full...[and btw, my Mom makes the best Green bean casserol]...
At a friends house it was just drinks as they and us had plans...just a stop over, really.

At the in-laws it was :
    sweet-potatoe casserol
enpanadas (peruvian style pocket pizza-like /w sirloin, black olives, raisins, nuts)...trust me I wasn't crazy for it...
    Marinaded chicken instead of turkey
    Spanish rice
    salad
    crab spinach dip
    corn
    Inca cola beverage

It was o.k., but you know how much you like your mom's

    At my parents, it was:
    Turkey, of course.
    Very excellant stuffing...hmmmm.
    mashed and sweet potatoes
    green bean casserol
    rolls
    pies galore

....I know what you're thinking: Hey ROXRAN, that is boring and so traditional, but hey!!! I could only take so much crab spinach dip!!!!
    ;)

Anyhow a great day because of just being together despite the fact I feel very full of it right now...

I had an awesome day. Played football at 2:00. Then some baseball at 4:00. My family and I went to my girlfriends house for thanksgiving dinner. Played with some babies (I love babies!), saw a movie, played nintendo and just now got home.

Good, but I'll forget all about it if the Rockets lose tomorrow.

It was okay considering that Thanksgiving is not one of my favorite holidays. The story behind that would be longer than Oily's initial post.

Manny is really Chandler Bing from Friends. Only difference being the real Chandler is a million times funnier. ;)
