http://www.daveandbusters.com/?f=1 I figure this is a good place to ask as seeing there're like 4-5 facilities scattered through out Texas. I'm looking for a nice place to take my date out for dinner this Saturday before goin to a late night movie. It seems I've heard good thing about D&B as far as dining and entertainnment values is concern. I really want to have a good lasting impression with my date who I really like a lot....basically I just want us to have a good time and not get bored. Does D&B fit that bill? I've only went there once for a wedding rehearsher for my cusin and I thought they were very high class as far as the food(buffet) and atmosphere. What I would like to know is... -How are the menu(dinner), are there a lot of variety? -Is the food any good to you? -How's the bar? -Are the waitrest nice and helpfull? -How's the entertainment there? -What did you like most about D&B? Any reply would greatly be appreciated...Thanks.
I don't really like the food all that much. I remember having a few drinks and they sucked. If your girl is into games like Street fighter, hook me up with her sister. But its sort of fun, but I always find myself blowing 40-50 bucks on games.
You need to get out more. If you're into sushi, RA Sushi is a new place that just opened a few weeks ago that looks interesting. http://www.rasushi.com/ Looks like a good atmosphere for a date. Then again it might just be full of pretentious a-holes.
I just want to play video games. I remember being 19, and unable to get in because, we were 19. We had to have somebody that was 21.
I took my son down to the Atlanta D&B a couple of weekends ago. He had a good time since he is 14. They used to have a better selection of virtual and linked games than they do now. All the big virtual games are gone. Now half the place is a gimmeaticket games. And what you get to cash them in on is junk - though she will have a souvenir to take home of the date. The food was TGIFriday's quality IMO. I had 2 Sam Adams drafts which cost me $11.40 without tax or tip - kinda high I thought. They do have a special before 5 on weekends where you can get an entrée and a $10 game card for $14. Worked out great for my son and I but nothing says "Hey honey, I'm cheap", like getting the special on your first date. Very informal place, but if it's a fun place for you, it may be a good place to take her to see if she likes what you like.
Is Jillians still around? I liek that place. It is right next to Edwards on i-10 and Silber. Kill two birds with one stone.
It's the latter. I was there a couple of Thursdays ago. It's the Red Door crowd in a sushi bar atmosphere.
i think currently it's still there. soon enough though, it'll be turned into a, take a good guess.....Dave and Busters. i never liked D&B. food and games are overpriced.
noize, take her to comedy club show. you'll have time to chat with her before the show starts. you'll both be laughing. she'll have that ingrained in her mind that it was fun being with you. you can use the topics the comedians made fun of as conversation pieces later. and you'll definitely spend alot less money than if you went to D&B. hell, if it's a first date, just take her to the coffee or tea shop and chat. you don't want to waste your money on someone who you don't even know is gonna like you. this way, there's no pressure on either of you. your not spending exorbitant amounts of money on her so she doesn't need to feel guilty about spending time with you. never exchange money for time with a girl. it's a lost cause.
Overpriced, the food sucks, and the "bouncer" actually ID'd my 25 year old brother last time. However, it's fun if you want to waste some money and spend time there with people.
So here's what you gotta do. Play Skee-Ball till you have a butt-load of tickets and then cash them in on a couple of those animal-head-on-a-stick things with the trigger that makes their mouth open and close. Then, first chance you get, you make your animal bite her on the butt. If she gets mad, then she's probably a little too uptight anyway. I can neither confirm nor deny ever having executed the above instructions myself.
