Since i know everyone gonna hate me for this thread, im sorry in advance but how about. We need a PF how about Walt Bryce 4.5 For Karl Malone 2nd round pick The jazz have no chance after this season and malone is still good. ------------------ 7 years 42 million mistakes.
Why would anyone hate you for asking a question? They may not like the question, or may give a off the cuff answer, but it shouldn't be personal. Is this FrancisandBarkleyRule/other names? If so, what gives? I like the shorter name, but pick one and stick with it!!!! ------------------ Stay Cool...
Clutch and Jeff, Sorry fellas, but you guys are nuts if such a deal were real and feasible. Malone, aside from being a hated person in Houston (so was Chuck), is a stud and shows no signs of aging through his performance. He has some good years left. I would JUMP on this deal in a heartbeat. Animus for the guy aside, and assuming we could afford to do it, I just couldn't pass this deal up. I'll take the abuse for this opinion now. An irrelevant aside: Clutch, why no response from you about getting a clutchcity bbs game going on this summer? I still think it could be done and would be fun. I e-mailed a couple of admins about this (BKagy, and I think Jeff), and nobody has responded. Why the lack of interest? [This message has been edited by Pass 1st, shoot 2nd (edited April 24, 2000).]
p1 s2 If you sent an email to Clutch about the game, understand I think he gets 100s a day. Not counting his job. I doubt he's blowing you, or us, off. We should organize this ourselves. Why not start a thread in the Lottery forum about the Draft Pool Jeff suggested. When we all meet for that, it might be easier to discuss a game day in person. Note: I did get a lot of interest via email regarding a game, from plenty of out of towners as well. I am willing to bet it will be hard enough to pick a weekend and satisfy the majority, as it will be to organize brackets. My impression is: we should consider the BBS area open turf for organizing events, but I think Clutch and Kagy have grander plans for the rest of the cc.net...meaning it is for news and rocket info. I think we are going to have to organize a game through our own devices in the BBS area. I'm more than happy to help you. btw: can I also say one thing regarding the Rocket's Forum. I somewhat abused it by organizing the Vanc game through it. But, that started kinda weird by making fun of my "If I was 7'6" thread. Then I was stuck trying to get in touch with people who didn't email me but asked for a ticket. So I kinda had to spam the main forum to find them and make sure those who wanted a ticket, new how to get it at the gate. I vote for posting cc.net events in other areas outside of the main Rocket's forum. What do you think? Do you want to start the game thread? Heypartner, Absolutlely. But I'm a computer illiterate, so break down what you said in English, please.
in a heartbeat!!! Maybe it will keep Olajuwon young for one last year. think about this: pg-Francis/Norris sg-Mobley/draft/fa sf-Anderson/Bullard pf-malone/Rodgers/Thomas c-Olajuwon/Cato I think this can work. Cato can improve, Anderson can play sf, Mobley can start, Thomas can play both sf or pf, Frances can have a work horse (Malone) setting picks for him and Karl will win a championship. I think it's a no-brainer. ------------------ the Heat suck!!
P1 - sorry, never got your email. As for a game, not for me, thanks. I'll watch, but I limit my playing to games of HORSE and Playstation during the summer. As for Clutch responding, heypartner is right. In fact, I'm lucky if I can get to all my emails, and I get about half what Clutch does if that. ------------------ "No one gets out ALIVE!" Malone is an ironman, but he won't be still around by the time Francis is in his prime, which is when we'd want him. So why bother? Also, why would Malone want to play for a rebuilding team after contending for a championship for 57 years? I think there are more profitable ways to use Drew and Williams, if we're going to trade them, not to mention the $4.5 million trade exception. ------------------
