Cuttino- To anywhere for a first round pick.

    starting lineup
    C. Yao
    PF. EG
    SF. Boki
    SG. Posey
    PG. Francis

thats assuming we pick up the option on posey.
Posey is a great swing man, hes played at the 2 this season, so we know he can cut it. hes lets the game come to him, and doesnt try to force anything. great role player. Boki would be a wonderful asset at the 3. He can hit the outside shot, yet is versatile enough to come off a yao pick and drive it to the hole. great fundamentals, plays team ball, plus he has experience playing with a big man. EG again at the 4. I think this year, and the pot incident are really gonna open his eyes. Plus he will have another year to bulk up more. Weve seen his 3pa go down from last year, with his work at building a post up game. Stevie...well, he just needs to continue to be a leader, and continue to develop a more team-based bball sense. Yao, hopefully he wont have to go back to china. but he probably will. Hopefully, we can get a trainer to go with him, so we can monitor him in the weight room. Him and eddie really need to get a more aggressive attitude.

Not bad for a first post...

Yao is improving. Francis is hoping to improve. Posey is average. He can do well. BUT BOKI?!? How do you know how he plays? What if he sucks? We would also still have Glen Rice. ;) But that first round pick for Mobley...hmm. I don't know. Not too many good players in the draft this season. And who would want Mobley? And his contract?

I would do it...if we could get Lebron James. :)

We don't have an "option" on Posey. He is a restricted free agent and the Rockets have his Bird Rights but will only offer him around the MLE to avoid the Luxury Tax. If any team offers Posey more than around $6m, the choice will probably be his becasue I don't see the Rockets paying him more than they pay Mobley.

You can't trade a player for a draft pick because draft picks have no trade value until they sign their rookie contract and still the contracts have to match slary wise. The only exception is the handful of teams which are under the cap but I doubt Denver, the Clipps or the Wiz are going to give you their Lottery pick for Cuttino.

    About Posey...no way $6 million!

I'd say about 2.5 million. He better not get more than 3 million.

We could be getting Eric Piatkowski, Jim Jackson, Voshon Lenard, Jon Barry, or someone else instead.

what about trading Steve to Denver for the shot at Carmelo Anthony.

The guy is legit, NCAA Championship to prove it.

Me and a buddy were dicussing this last night and thought about getting some feedback.

    I THINK I would, my buddy wouldn't.

If we don't make the playoffs, I probably would.

I dont think I would do but you'd have to consider it. From Denvers side it could payoff big time.

PG Arenas (rumored to sign here)
SG Francis ( If he is traded mobody would want him as a PG)
    SF Skiti
    PF Hilario
    C?

Great Young team . From the Rockets standpoint it puts the rockets a few years back. This teams needs some experience not another project we have enough

I have a trade idea. How bout we trade Steve, Cuttino, and Yao, and whatever chump change we have to get together I.E. Mooch, Cato, Boki, Posey, and couple them all together for Lebron James  After all he has been schooling EVERY high schooler he goes against! I have NO doubt he could deliever us a campionship. Maybe even 2 or 3:rolleyes:

I don't see how trading mobley for a first round pick would help the team unless it is a really really high pick (like top 3 or something), but then I don't think the other team would do it.

In the present NBA economy and with all the available FAs, JPo can hope for NO MORE than the Exception, and that might be a reach.

I hope the Dude is back.

I hope the owner realizes that withOUT paying the Luxury Tax his 'best team ever' could be a bottom feeder. The play-off teams already in figure to be as good or better, and Seattle, Memphis, Denver (yes, Denver), and the Clips all could be VERY competitive next season (with New Orleans looming).

There is no room to avoid upgrading this team, and there is no room for penury.

I don't see why everyone thinks Posey can play 2. There is no way he can play the 2 consistently. First he can't cut it on the defensive side. I know everyone here thinks he's the greatest defender of all time but the truth is, he only plays the passing lanes well where as his on the ball defense leaves much to be desired. He simply does not have the lateral quickness that say someone like Cuttino Mobley has. As for the offensive side, his game really lacks everything other than an ocassional fast break and three pointer. We need a two that can knock down the open jumper and Posey has shown he can't do that. Cat can. We also all know that there will be nights when Steve and Yao arn't playing well and we'll need someone else to step in and shoulder some of the load (someone who can create for himself). Posey isn't someone that can do this. The only scoring he does do are off of other peoples play. In other words when you need a basket sorely, you can't hand Posey the ball and ask him to score you two by whatever means possible. Cat can.
