Just once let's have a thread where we have confidence in our management and coaches that they might actually know more than the fans and that the players they put together are the right ones for this team. And just once let's show some love for the players on the team and have confidence that they can win and bring the Larry OBrien trophy back to HTown. It's so easy to sit back on our computer and bash everyone, but I tell you what...the management, coaches and players all feel in their hearts that they can get the job done. So let's all just push our chairs back, take a deep breath, and let the people getting paid do there jobs...and lets give them the love they deserve! Now I'm going to go hug a tree.
Just go re-watch the McGrady introduction press conference. I get chills at the excitement that was going on in the TC that day. 45 days to the first preseason game!!! I cannot wait!!!
I for one love the Rockets Management including Alexander and Dawson (and Rudy T!!) and their ability to get big deals done. From tinkering to getting us two championship squads to getting us Drexler. Getting us Barkley and giving a good chance at another ring. Getting Pippen and giving us one last chance at a ring for Hakeem and Barkley. Though this ended up horribly, it was very gutsy to do so! Drafting Cuttino 41 (second round) and Trading Mike Dickerson (not in the league) and scrubs for Steve Francis that gave us hope and eventually got us McGrady! Having the BALLS to draft Yao Ming and not going with the safe choice of Jay Williams or trading Yao for Olowokandi/Odom etc. Aggresively getting a top choice in Eddie Griffin, but cutting him once realizing he was a dope head. That is a LOT of talent. We know have One of the Top two guards in the league (Kobe)and one of the top 4 big men in the league. (Shaq/Duncan/Garnett) That with very heady players like Sura/Jackson and Howard will allow McGrady and Ming to DOMINATE!
I swear on my posting privelige here that I dreamed this the other night: I saw a diesel truck crash in a neighborhood street and the drivers side door was in engulfed in flames so I run to the passenger side and there is Rudy T. pulling out the passenger and I remember we caught eachothers eye as he was pulling the passenger out and I strongly sensed that I had to go in immediately and pull that driver out even though I sensed the big rig was about to blow. So I lunged in and pulled the driver out. I tell you this dream I had because the point is that Rudy T. has entered my dreams as a sort of god who teaches me virtue and wisdom. And I know you miss Rudy, I do too. If it were up to me I would bring back this man who enters my subconcious mind and dreams to symbolize heroism and goodness within. But dude just let it go. Van Gundy may enter your dream and commit an action that symbolizes Napoleans determination or some other virtue. Just let it go man.
