I cant read the ESPN insider, but it does recommend the Wiz trading Kwame. Can we get him? I know the Wizards fans want Juwan back like we want Pippen. Give him a chance next to Yao, he should be as good or better than Cato.
you know what, we should trade at least one pf, so next year its... PF: ???/ Juwan or Mo/ Badiane/Weatherspoon or if we do get rid of both pfs... we should get rid of one to get a pg PF: ???/ Badiane/Weatherspoon or Mo or Juwan
What can Kwame do best? 1.Dunk 2. Rebound 3. Block Shots Thats what we need like Kobe needs a lawyer.
Kwame is athletic, he can get up and block shots, and he can finish he is also a very good man on man defender. he has pretty good handles for his size. basically, i think he could be a good player in this league once he is in a position where theres less pressure put on him, and people dont force him into living up to the number 1 selection. a change of scenery might do him some good, like it has for eddie in minny.
It would be worth it for the Rockets to look into getting Kwame. Not sure if what we have to offer would be enough for his services though. A lottery first round pick might be appealing to them though. I think Kwame and JVG would be a terrible mix. If Kwame was beat down by MJ, it would be worse with JVG. Of course we can just remedy that by firing JVG.
I dont know if the wizards would give us K. Brown for a late lottery pick. I am sure they want to see thier #1 overall pick pan out and will want to hold on to him unless they get an offer they cant refuse.
I agree with you, but if Im not mistaken Kwame is a free agent next season and the Wizards run the risk of losing him without compensation.
Give them Mo or Howard so they can move Jamison back to SF. Howard had good years with them, maybe they would like having him back. Howard + Lue + Pick for Kwame + Dixon. Just a thought.
If they want to cut salary, we don't have to send them a player in return - we can send them the trade exception. That is assuming that our first round pick next summer, unprotected, would be enough to get him. A big if. And then we would have 5 PFs.
That post is right on the money. Kwame is a nice kid, but his ego has already been biatchslapped by MJ. He needs a full service massage by a player's coach.... like Rudy. Damnit.
Yeah, trade proposals suck but I have been playing around on realgm and I may have found a 3-way deal that may be a good deal for all 3 teams involved. So Fatoine wants to return to Boston. Ainge the Idiot claims to not be interested but that team is terrible and it may not be a bad idea. Houston trades: Maurice Taylor Clarence Weatherspoon Houston receives: Raef LaFrentz Atlanta trades: Antoine Walker Atlanta receives: Maurice Taylor Clarence Weatherspoon Michael Stewart Boston trades: Raef LaFrentz Michael Stewart Boston receives: Antoine Walker Atlanta runs the risk of losing Walker this offseason without compensation. Taylor could fill in for Walker and put up similar numbers. Atlanta gets expiring contracts in Stewart(this year) and Weatherspoon (next year). Boston makes Pierce happy by reuniting him with his old pal and Boston finally has an offense again. We do this to get a new big man that we could pull a Cato with and start at PF. LaFrentz would easily be an upgrade over any of the current production we are getting at PF. He can hit the 3, rebound and block shots which happen to be areas of non-existence from any of our current horrendous collection of PF's. The only drawback is his contract. It scares me to have money tied up in him for that long but if he could stay healthy it might be worth it. Because of that I may have to veto my own trade idea.
I have been able to catch a few games this year, and from the ones I've seen, I think Kwame wouldn't be a bad addition... but a Tyson Chandler/Stromile Swift being a better fit. One game in particular, Spurs vs. Rockets, I saw a lot of alley oop passes to Yao from McGrady where Yao ended up fumbling the ball or having to come down with it before making a move to the basket. Every time, it resulted in a turnover... either Yao dropping the ball or having it knocked away from him. An athletic forward like Kwame could go after loose balls, alley oop passes, and get some rebounds. Someone like Amare Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin, or Dwight Howard would fight nicely next to Yao, i.e. limited offensive skillz but loads of athletic ability.
just watched Tyson Chandler almost knock his head on the rim grabbing a routine rebound. can't believe the rockets couldn't use a little of that. chandler's been rumored to be available for the last two years. also, with stromile swift, lorenzen wright has been getting the bulk of his minutes. if this doesn't change by the trade deadline, the grizz would probably gladly swap him for a late lottery pick, rather than lose him in free agency. they already gave gasol too much money. is there enough left for stro? i realize none of these ideas are new.....
I'm really not sure about Kwame, there are times he looks good and if he improves will be awesome, but at other times i am convinced Kwame from the apprentice could do a better job at the 4
