Hello all. I am new to this site and first I want to say how much I love it. I am a die hard Rocket fan and this is what I have been looking for. Now that all of that is out of the way, now lets talk. What do you think if the Rockets would solve the abundance of players at the 4 and go for a real 3. Glen Rice is a true shooter and does well at that position, but he is injury prone. He has finally been playing to our expectations but I think that he would do more damage coming off the bench. Getting someone that is fresh & young would really help the team. Let me know what you think and any suggestions? Mark
Getting someone that is fresh & young ...hmmm...you mean like Boki or Morris or do we want to add still another 3 to the roster?
what the hell was that? that was the worst insult yet. even DreamShake had better come backs. You definitley need a STOP POSTING.
welcome markman there are sme members that like to be negative towards new members, don't mind them. glad to have you aboard and GrEgOnOmIcS if you don't have anything smart to ssay do not say anything
So if Rice is gone, who hits the 3? Who says "I've done this before, this is how we won"? Who says "this always works"? Who says "we're winning, but we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves"? Even if Rice wasn't playing well, his experience is invaluable to this team. If you trade him, you better get similar veteran experience back.
Welcome aboard! You can go ahead and put that Greg idiot on your ignore list now. Actually I think most ppl would say now that the 3 AND the 4 may be our weakest positions. Used to be that we had an overabundance of talent at the four, and our 3 was just ok. It seems though that EG isn't playing up to the ridiculously high expectations some set for him, KT is still KT, and MoT has truly degraded and is definitely not back in form. Our 3 is young as well (with the exception of Rice who is OLD OLD OLD). So basically we have Rice who seems to still have his shooting touch at moments, and TMo and Boki who are both young, talented but inexperienced. That being said, we don't need to get any younger (not sure if you're hinting at that... actually I'm pretty sure you're not but I'm putting it in anyways), and we have plenty of 3's for the future. Let's let them get some pt and grow before we add another 3 and stunt TMo and Boki. I think our 3 will be just fine, our 4 is another matter altogether. It went from being perhaps our deepest position to our weakest position. EG still needs time, KT may be gone sooner or later and most ppl don't seem to like him anyways (black hole arguments and all) and MoT is sucking. I think we need to let this season go by as kinda an assesment of where this team is. We're so f'ing young and talented that waiting to change this team would probly be a good idea.
Unless there's a significant SF available like Lamar Odom, I would just rather see the Rocks develop Boki and TMo than deal them. For anyone who went to the free scrimmage, you could see why the Rocks are so high on Boki. Boki could be a Mike Miller-type SF, but TMo is the better defender, hence the limited PT.
