Let's find out about Yao first then we can talk about their main target.

Until the league finds out about him, none of those players would come here.

Okay i guess everyone should get ready for a long and boring off season and not much forum activity since it seems like almost most topics cannot be discussed yet. Oh well. Off to a different forums where it's much more fun and free.

Have it locked then. This type of replies kills a forum. A team gets lebron, bosh and wade on the same team and getting one of these players is suddenly impossible? Aren't we one of the teams with the most talent and assets to offer? All you people do is criticize anything just so you could post. Haters.

Dreaming is fun and great and no one should be critical of your doing it. However, sometimes posters have to be practical and realistic when looking at the team and methodology for acquiring players. You should not be critical of that approach either.

What are you talking about- We are not considering any of these players.
We are looking to get a back up Center and reduction of our roster . :p

At least i find it interesting that some people would choose granger over cp3 or melo. To their defense, maybe he's the more 'realistic' choice. Apparently, you guys aren't familiar with Larry Bird. Good luck. Hehe

From the get go, Morey has made it clear that he'll be hell-bent on dealing for an all-star to make us a championship contender. Getting a back up center has been our need which would make our roster much more balanced but won't make us a championship contender. Our team is talented but we still need a closer.

We don't need an offensive player... Melo, Martin, and Brooks CANNOT co-exist. And even if they find a way to distribute the ball to each other adequately. It'll definitely be a perimeter game from now on in Houston...

What we need is a true PG. CP3. He can spread the floor, penetrate, and rack up tons of assists. Aaron gets MOST of his assists from running full speed into the paint and kicking out to a perimeter player.

Aaron might be a better shooter and scorer, but I feel that we don't really need an offensive point guard. Especially when Martin is going to be our key perimeter player and Yao/Scola will be our key post players. CP3 will mainly be used for passing and spreading the floor whilst Ariza/Battier will be there for defense and also spreading the floor.

Rick Adelman's offense incorporates a lot of cutting and etc. And someone like AB as good as he is at scoring, isn't bred to be a pass-first point guard. CP3 is.

We already have the offensive talent needed to outscore our opponents. So might as well invest in other aspects of the game...

In this order, Melo-CP3-Iggy-Granger. After what happened in Miami, I think Melo and CP3 will be in NY with Amare.

That leaves us with Granger or Iggy. I vote Iggy.

I think Melo would be the best choice but I don't see Denver trading him seeing as they will most likely be a top 3 team in the West (if healthy). So I say CP3. He wants out of NOLA, and NOLA will likely not be a playoff team...

Ahh NY again. LOL Who would they offer to get both? Gallinari? Chandler? Maybe Randolph. But would that be enticing enough? Not to mention we also have their future 1st round picks.

i know this player is not part of the poll, but as of right now "Houston's main Target" is Brad miller why do you guys think his decision is taking so long?

Most likely be cause of the relatively large number of teams making an offer to him, none is likely to be financially huge, but there are a number of teams reported to be interested, including Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and Cleveland.

Might take a while to sort out his choices (might prefer to play at City A, but would rather work with Coach B, and Team C offers the most money, etc.).

Most franchises would gut their team to get guys like Cp3 and Melo..

NY would be dumb not to go all in for these two.

It's the NBA... anything can happen...ask Miami.

Gut the team? You think they would take that risk after what they experienced with LeBron? Plus, the Nuggets won't let Melo go without getting something in return.

Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, then maybe Danny Granger. I think Carmelo is the best current score at will player we got in this league. And he's developed a share the wealth attitude over the years. (He makes plays for others now as well.)
