Okay, so I'm coming down to Houston for a business trip on the 19th. I decided to stay with my parents instead of getting a hotel room just for fun. My parents live in Pasadena, but the office I'll be at is in the Galleria area. I know traffic is ridiculous in that part of town, but I was wondering if anyone here has to make that commute (roughly speaking), and what time I should plan on leaving in the morning, etc. I know time is sort of a factor in that equation, so for whatever it's worth I need to be at the office 9:00 A.M. Thanks in advance, by the way. It's kind of wierd to be "travelling" to my hometown.
DarkHorse, tomorrow at the time when you would start your commute, check this site: http://www.chron.com/content/chronicle/traffic/traffic.mpl?inc=on That should give you a pretty good idea of what kind of traffic to expect.
Well obviously it's going to fluctuate as a result of accident, etc. I just wanted to get some kind of an idea of the average commute to expect. And my trip is still a couple of weeks away so I figured I'd have time to plan accordingly.
If you need to be in your office by 9AM and you will be commuting from Pasadena, leave no later than 7:30, IMO.
