Those school descriptions look like they are from the perspective of a nerd or a lonely geek. No Problem though, funny as ****. The best part about the mostly white silver spoon kids that they make fun of...they would laugh to!

Me to. Probably pretty similar to St. John's and Kinkaid's though.

I'll echo the sentiments of my fellow Jesuit alumni -- I don't understand the Passat reference either. The whole phish and weed thing is pretty true -- it used to be more of the "wannabe cowboys" type, but in the past few years, it's become much more of a dead-head type crowd. The crack against "men for others" is the only thing I really disagree with. Also, SJ doesn't really hate St. Thomas so much anymore -- the rivalry's been fairly well dead for a while now . . .

As much as I would like to see Clements, the title is Houston High Schools, not Sugar Land High Schools.

I lived in Alief. I tried to get in to Strake but was rejected so I went to St. Thomas. I didn't want to go to Hastings. I went to school in Singapore for a semester. The Vice Principal of the Singapore American School had got to St. John's and automatically disliked me because I went to St. Thomas. When I came back to Houston I heard how the principal of St. Thomas (a priest) had been arrested for soliciting oral sex from a male vice cop in a XXX store. I graduated from Northwest Academy which later became Houston Christian HS.

At the time I was getting into fights A LOT at the time. In my 8th grade year at Killough there were two stabbings. My neighbor got maced leaving one day. I was receiving threats from people claiming to be associated with gangs. My parents were worried about gangs and such (especially with me being a little white boy) so I went to private school. This was a serious and legitimate concern at the time '93/'94.

Also, 11,000 students were crammed in that one area with Elsik and Hastings. AISD has added a couple of schools and the 9th grade so that might have cleared some of the congestion that was going on.

It's not the same anyway. The kids at LHN are pampered now. They air conditioned the gym and courtyard.

Sorry to hear about the violence. The overcrowding issue was and still is the same to this day. Taylor only allows about 1500 kids maximum so Hastings/Elsik is still the same as it was which had pros and cons.

On the downside, the overcrowding means there's 40+ kids in your class sometimes. The upside is when I got to UT I was already used to having to deal with large crowds of students. I understand your concerns though.
