I found 2.79/gallon yesterday on Loop 494 and Northpark. I bet long and filled up both cars.

Funny thing was the Shell right across the street had it at 2.99 and there were more cars there than at the Citgo with 2.79.

People autamatically assume that shell is the most expensive gas, which is usually true. But its still weird consirering that the price sign is the first things people look for at any gas station.

I filled up for 2.85 at the Buc-ees in Giddings on Sunday. Best tank of gas I've had in forever!

What's sad is that they've conditioned us to think we're getting a bargain on this. A little over a year ago, we were up in arms over $2.89 gasoline. Now, we celebrate.

It was 2.24 at a walmart this sunday in the rgv. Long ass line of cars that wasn't worth the bother. Just filled up at the next station for 2.49.

I would have been one of the cars at Shell. Citgo has the worst gas.

    Yup

Have seen noticeable differences in mpg using all the different companies out there. Shell has consistently given me the best with Chevron a second. Citgo was the worst (2-3mpg less). Surprisingly, Diamond Shamrock was not that bad.

    I fill up Plus fuel.

I've seen it in Round Rock...Shell on 620 just west of I-35.

Completely agree. Imagine the parties if it ever drops below $2 again. I don't think we'll ever see it consistently below $2.50 ever again. It might drop below from time to time, but I fully expect it to stay at or above $3 for the long term.

I'm just happy a tank of gas has gone under $60 for me.

Funny thing, I drove down to H-town the Monday After Hurricane Ike and was suprised (and happy) to see that Gas was cheaper in Houston than it was in DFW. I thought it be way more expensive due to the Hurricane/stations closed/etc..

I'm surprised that my gas prices up here are beating the ones in Houston although I probably shouldn't be as the area is probably still feeling some effects of Hurricane Ike.

I don't think people are really celebrating but $2.65 beats the hell out of $4.29. I mean gas is still high but it is better than a month ago.
