Last couple times I have visited the Houston Chronicle on line I have been prompted to register as a member to access the content. Is this new?
I went into Firefox and disabled the cookies for the Chron as well as blocking them in the future. Apparently, the more often you go to the Chron without dumping your cache or history buffer, the more often you get the forced login. Since I blocked their cookies, I haven't gotten the message once.
By the way, as apologists for Metro, the Chron is going to start cutting back on coverage of Danger Train collisions.
This is a little off topic but does anyone remember the site that was posted here a little while back that lets you bypass loging on to newspaper sites?
