I know there was a thread about the revamp the Chron and it's website went through and how bad it is, but I've got to say that their commercials are even worse. I want to throw a remote through the tv everytime one of them comes on. Feel free to either discuss this or other commercials that annoy the crap out of you.
They aren't nearly as bad as the Time Warner commercials. I want Dish Network again just so I don't have to see the damn commercials.
God, thatgirlandguyneedtobetakenoutbackandshot.com I hate the Amex commercial on 610. "Dreams, uh, don't, uh, pay the overhead" I also love hearing Marc pimp Time Warner before one commercial and then Rich pimping the Dish/criticizing Time Warner before the next.
Oh man you think the commercials are bad I had one of their telemarketers call and she would not take no for an answer. Telemarketer: Good evening sir. Where do you get your news? AntiSonic: Usually online. TM: Blah blah special blah blah Houston Chronicle blah blah... AS: No thanks... TM: Sir, the Houston Chronicle is a great way to find out about what's going on- AS: I don't have time to read the paper in the morning. TM: Come on, you can take it to- AS: No thanks. TM: Do you go out a lot? AS: I live in a cave. TM: Haha. Well wouldn't you like to know what movies to see and where all the happening night spots are? AS: No. at that point my girlfriend hung up the phone for me (I'm too nice to do it myself, afterall the woman was just doing her job). I hatehatehatehatehate how everything's trying so god damn hard to be hip and urban-trendy. The sad thing is there are enough tools out there that this kind of marketing is successful.
Oooh, a new one I remembered this morning. That damn Spa Wish commerical...1-888-SPA-WISH and the guy and girl keep saying it and at the end, the guy goes 1-88888888888888888 (they both break into r****ded giggling)...ugh.
