I remember a large thread a while back where everyone here in Houston was trying to work out a place to play bball on a regular basis. I didn't follow it because at the time I lived in Dallas. But now that I have moved back to Houston, I am looking for some good bball action. Whatever happened with that endeavor? Did something get worked out, or did it fizzle and die?

Nobody wants to play anymore, because I dominate everybody.

Side question: Does anybody ever play at the outdoor court at Waugh @ Memorial. I always see people there at night.

Jeff was trying to locate an indoor facility. That proved pretty impossible. I called around, too, and basically what it breaks down to is we cannot get a city park indoor game going without joining a league. So, maybe someone can research leagues and sign-up times and get back to us.

For special events, we can get other indoor places for like one day or one weekend...like we did last year at Gutter Snipes?? place.

JayZ, that's Spotts Park. We looked at that when Grega was in town. I like it much better than the Rice court.

So whats the deal, are we getting a game together? I'll play on the Rice Campus courts, or the ice hockey courts at Spotts.

If we just wanted to pick a spot to play just once, that would be cool as well. I plan on looking into some of the leagues later tonight to see if there are any that would be good to start up a CC.net team. Can you play on the Rice campus courts if you are not a student?

As far as outdoor courts go, I'm not sure how many of you live in the southwest side, but I'm always at a court in Missouri City. If anyone is down, we usually play in the evening, then hit me up. There's good comp up there from time to time, depending on when you go. My friends that I play with are ok as far as comp goes, but they love to run.

If you want to play at rice you have to be a current student or be with somebody that is. every student is allowed one guest. and there is a 5 dollar fee. at rice once you check in they give you something to put on your shoe if your caught w/o it your kicked off. thats from my experience. so you can play but it will cost ya. rice also has outdoor courts that are not to bad those are open to everybody.

For those who want to know where the court is in Mo City and are familiar with the area, it's actually off of Gessner/Texas Parkway.

Directions from Beltway, going south from 59 you would exit W. Airport/Gessner (last free exit).

Take a right at Gessner (Texaco there).

Take it straight passed Hwy 90 (it becomes Texas Parkway after that). *Side note* that intersection has a railroad crossing.

Keep going all the way till you hit Grand Park Drive (neighborhood is called Quail Green West) and take a right there.

First stop sign take a right and go all the way down.

Pavillion will be on your left.

Whoever wants to play, email me at LiveInFreedom@hotmail.com and I'll give you my cell number. We'll set up a time or what not.

It is pretty far if you don't live southwest already. Even then for some, it's someways away. I don't have an exact address. But those directions I gave should lead you there. It's easy to find once you get to Mo City. It's deep in the Mo City/Stafford area so, like I said, will more than likely be a great distance.
