A weird thing happened to me yesterday afternoon. That strong line of thunderstorms that rolled in around 4:30PM seemingly rolled right over my house. I live in the Westbury area. There were three lightning strikes that were very close and shook my house. During one of them I heard a shattering noise and had a power surge...I took a quick look around but didn't see anything broken. This morning I discovered one of the panes in the bay window in my den had broken. Waiting for the glassman to show up...a hunnert bux to fix it....housebound until then.... At least it isn't raining...
That lightening must have been close for the sonic boom to blow out a window....you are lucky it is only a hunnert ! DD
I was thinking that but too polite to post it. When I was a kid I used to go to Roy's House of Comics in Westbury Square. I liked the hill and the little shops in that center. Too bad the community went to dust.
anyone ever get the crap where you're sleeping at like 2 AM, no rain, no nothing, then a lightning bolt fires down like 3 feet outside your bedroom? It's like God is trying to scare the hell out of me!
To this day, I cannot understand why someone like Ed Wulfe hasn't given what's left of Westbury Square a complete and total makeover. It could be great again.
I use to walk from Fondren to Roys every week Rocket River 20$ a week comic book addiction was hell on the feet
