I gotta attest to the whole "go with your gut, be sure it's the one you love" feeling. We searched for two months, but kept going back to this one house we saw on the first week. We said at the time "It's too early, keep looking." But the more we looked, the more we realized how much we loved that house. Finally, after three months, we said "We love that first house we saw!" We closed almost a year ago, and we as happy as can be. You'll know it when you see it. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS

Rocketman Tex: Good ol' Stewart!!! That's where we closed. Is it the one on the North Loop? I agree that you have to go with what you love. It is the only way to go. ------------------ "You know what they say about the music business. Here today, gone TODAY! - Chris Rock at the MTV Music Video Awards
Thanks For all the advice guys. Congrats RMT! That's great. Jeff, you live in the Heights right? I've a friend that buys houses in that neighborhood for $30 or $40 thousand; drops a $30 thousand home improvement loan on it and turns around and sells it for $150 to $200 thousand! Not a bad return. He has done it 3 times in the past 10 years. A nice way to make a chunk of change. ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is. Jeff: Nope, it's the Stewart Title office on Post Oak Blvd. in the Galleria. I think they like to do it at the office closest to the house you are buying. The house I'm buying is on the SW side right on the border of Meyerland & Westbury, about a half mile outside the loop. mc mark: Your friend might be having trouble as of late. The only things I saw in the Heights for $30-40 thousand lately were garages! But I'm sure your friend made out like a bandit if he did that during the late 1990s. ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
