I want to key your car for that.

I enjoyed Shaun and Fuzz decently. I forgot that I need to rent Fatboy. Edgar Wright is the guy doing Ant-Man for Marvel, which may make the movie worth checking out.

Simon Pegg is Scotty in next year's Star Trek. That'll be interesting.

And that is how one cannot take your comment seriously. The Office UK sucks but the Office USA is just majestic I bet. Well you did say you don't get British comedy so that helps one understand your views.
Death at a Funeral was funny but it was in no way funnier than the other two Pegg movies mentioned.

I just got a chance to see it at my brother's and it was one of the best comedies I've seen in quite some time.

I loved the mystery, everybody-is-a-suspect, CLUE-like storyline. and of course, all the cop-buddy parodies they made were hysterical.

but the movie has alot of heart, and that's what did it for me...

I love how everything centers around "going to the pub" ....that is completely British.

Especially in Shaun, where their big plan was ...."going to the pub".....

    LOL

    Hilarious stuff.

No, when they needed a hideout or a place to get away from the Zombies, they went to the pub.......

Which is a lampoon on the British and going to the pub.

Yes, but that's very general stuff. I thought you were being sarcastic by mentioning it.

Absolutly not, I watched the film in the UK with a bunch of Brits and they all thought that it was hilarious that their big plan was to head to the pub......

I saw both movies in the theater and own both on DVD. Love 'em. I read when "Hot Fuzz" came out that Sgt. Angel was originally going to have a love interest, but they couldn't think of any real purpose for her so they gave all her lines to Danny!

Brilliant movie. I've watched this like three times in the last two days.

btw, the first sergeant that sends Angel to Sandford is Martin Freeman (Tim from the UK version of The Office), and Angel's ex Jeanine is played by Cate Blanchett.

If you're a fan of these movies, the director and Pegg himself will be in Austin for a Spaced marathon at Drafthouse 7/27. These shows are always fun with the Q&A, signings! I'll definitely be there with red on.

Ain't It Cool News and Fantastic Fest Present
SPACED Marathon with Wright, Pegg & Hynes!

Many American filmgoers are fans of Edgar Wright's luminous zombie send-up SHAUN OF THE DEAD and his action-flick parody HOT FUZZ, but not nearly enough Americans are familiar with the hilarious BBC show that paved the way for his (as well as his leading men Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's) giant leap onto the big screen. Originally pitched as "a cross between The Simpsons, The X-Files and Northern Exposure," SPACED follows the colorful and surreal misadventures of Tim (Pegg) and Daisy (Jessica Hynes) who constantly discover new unproductive ways to kill time while trying to figure out what they want out of life.

I fell asleep after about 45 minutes. Sad, as I was a HUGE fan of Shaun of the Dead.

It takes more time to get going, but the 2nd half is much better than the first, and the ending is great.

Hot Fuzz was a good movie.

That movie had a lot of building up. But the revelation was well worth it.

It wasn't the best/funniest movie in the world, but I enjoyed it.
