Yao Ming & Brad on the floor at the same time sounds interesting.

"I've never played with a guy that big before, so I'm looking forward to the way we can really change our team's dynamic," Miller tells HOOPSWORLD. "We start with Yao and Scola and all those guys, and it's exciting to go out there with the second unit and bring some versatility to the game. If the other team has two big guys we can come with 7'6" and 7'0" and put a bigger lineup out there. I really enjoy the high post and he's really good at the low and he gives you a big target you can throw it in to."

Yao and Brad on the floor together does indeed sound rather intriguing. However, I wouldn't be for it at the expense of the Rockets' second unit. I think that'd be rather schizophrenic, to be honest. Like the team just hadn't realized how small they were last year that they have to do it again a significant amount of time (not including back-to-backs) this season.

Hopefully Yao will play the whole season, injury free, and Brad can back him up.

Just reading what Miller has said about the system and how he wants to help out the young guys get more comfortable and confident in it, I just know he will great chemistry in and off the court.

Nobody can replace Mutombo, but Miller comes pretty close in that role, even though their games couldn't be more different.

I like to see Yao guard Duncan and Miller play the center. I really don't think Duncan can do much with Yao's height inside. So if we play team that have great PF, this is what we should do.

Lets not forget Jordan Hill's work against Howard and Duncan was good.

If we were trying to field the slowest front court in the league. I don't see a matchup anywhere that would allow us to play that line up.

Odom and Gasol aren't that much faster.

I am not sure, but personally i feel that odom is damn fast.

but a gasol and bynam line up is not that fast. Miller and yao's height would give both of them a hard time.

Yao and Deke once were both on the floor at the same time a few years ago against the Spurs. It was only for a few minutes but it was very cool to watch. I think Deke guarded Duncan while Yao played whoever the Center was, maybe Oberto.

I Agree. Coach A played Yao & Mutombo together on several occasions and it was a JOY to watch, much like the Rox Unit today, but only when the Rockets can actually Maintain a Lead and Win Da Game... ;)

Brad Miller is partly the reason why we are contenders this season.
