Woah. (Ponders to self if I am going to become Mad Max in 20 years. Is that a good thing?) Maybe I need to check out Disney as an idea. She won't dig it though.
if you're in the same boat, remember to thank your wife for the rest of your life for putting you through school.
i was gonna post a "please tell me youre kidding" post when i first saw this thread, but i stopped myself. better late than never..... please tell me you're kidding.
Disney World is cool if you are the type of person who is into "experiencing" things - if you like to sit there and have something happen to you. If you prefer to be challenged, to interact and change what happens to you, maybe not so much. My wife is definitely the first type, and she loved Disney World. For me, the rides were okay, and with Disney's reservation tickets we waited in line less than I thought I would, the whole experience was all right, but not something I'm chomping at the bit to do again. I think the ride I enjoyed most was the Toy Story one where you get points for how many targets you hit. On the bright side, the food was cheaper and better than Astroworld, and getting the pictures with the characters made my wife happy. I guess I just don't appreciate being part of the herd like you are at Disney.
Disney is a cool place, regardless of the doubters here. It's not ALL kiddie rides. There are many fun things to do and a ton of different activities. If you are really into thrill rides I would suggest you spend a day at Universal Studios. Their rides are a lot better in that aspect.
I hope anyone who made fun of or cracked back on this guy will now have a nice warm glass of shut the hell up. Sounds like he is fulfilling a lifelong dream for the woman he loves. That's awesome.
After hitting up Disney World 3 times in the past 4 years (stupid wife ), we finally went to Universal Studios. It may be smaller, but it beats the pants off of Disney in pretty much EVERY facet. Even my wife, the psychotic Disney fan, admitted as much. Heck, we plan to go back again during Universal's Halloween Horror Nights.
If she is REALLY into Disney, get the Cinderella package with the horse drawn Cinderella coach to pick her up and go to dinner. You'd be gettin lots of lovin later.
I went to Disney World for my honeymoon and my wife and I had a blast...don't forget to tell tell people that you're on your honeymoon so that you can get some deals...we got an upgrade on our rental car to a mustang convertable...try checking AAA or if you have a travel agent check with them...can't wait to go back!!!
