Saul is a very interesting character and to me the series would be significantly upgraded if it moved away from Carrie and Brody and became focused going forward on Saul, Dar, Quinn and a few political actors. Quinn could be the character giving you field ops scenes. The Carrie character staying employed is only tolerable so long as Brody is in play. She's the key to Brody. If he is gone, she should be too because there is no way Saul could keep her on board when she is so volatile.
Wowwwwwww just watched this last week's episode and it was great. Can't wait for next Sunday. In regards to whether the show can go on without Brody or not, I'm under the belief that the show is insanely more interesting when Brody is involved as opposed to when he isn't. He's almost positively the most interesting character on the show, he influences Carrie in just about everything she does, and he keeps you guessing at certain moments which side he's truly working for (I was convinced once he started to spill the Javadi news to Akbari that he had turned back against the CIA, silly me). If Brody gets killed off, the show will still be able to continue and be entertaining, but it'd be losing one of the best parts about it.
He is interesting and he's a good actor, but it makes more sense for his character to die. After this Iran mission, the only story around him would be his re-entry to the states. They can find another character to turn into an interesting part of the show without turning Brody into something stupid.
Javadi being a CIA operating in the heart of Iran is also an interesting story. That would mean Javadi needs to kill Brody instantly to clean up loose ends. Carrie can save him? Can't wait.
I think Brody has gotten a sliver of redemption and it's be an sensible time for his character to die. I think it can survive without him, I'm curious to see how the finale plays out.
I don't think there were any previews, just reviews. The scene with Carrie was after she was shot by Quin.

Spoiler I think you are absolutely wrong about that. The family will reemerge somehow, unfortunately.
No, my wife read somewhere before this episode that the actresses---Baccarin and, uh, Dana---said they didn't want to continue with the show. Now we know why.
