I recently got an HD Media Player and converted several thousand cds and consolidated the audio and video on our computers and put everything on a big hard drive to access on my hi-fi system. It is a revelation. I would be interested to know if anybody else has set up a media server and what their experience has been with this.
I have all my music CDs (each and everyone purchased) ripped to FLAC format and stored on a NAS. I use the Sonos system to stream that music to four different places in my house. The wife and I are very happy with this arrangement.
