Snopes has debunked 'Hunting for Bambi' It was all an internet hoax designed to sell the $20 videos! Las Vegas news picked up the story as legitimate without actually investigating it!! read more...
So.. other than the fact this is being called "false" by snopes.. where's the proof that this isn't real?
wow, this story is really picking up. last week, I first read about "HFB" here at the BBS. i clicked the las vegas news affiliate and saw the report. it seemed absurd, and at the time snopes had its doubts, but they could not claim validity or if it was a hoax. then , a couple of days later, New York based news affiliate , FOX5, ran the story, but with the same sound bytes and interviews as the Las Vegas report. the following morning, a local radio show was doing their whole program on HFB, and they used the same sound bytes as well. i called into the program to let them know about snopes, but they dismissed my call because they said they had someone on the air who had actually participated. now, snopes claims it is definitely a hoax, but will all the outraged and misinformed people really know the actual truth? it's amazing how information is disseminated these days, and we eat it up. thanks for the update, rockHEAD. i am calling that radio show back tomorrow morning!
