I was a cook at a Pizza Inn in high school and one night, when it was pretty slow, I went back and helped my buddy do the dishes (he was a delivery driver, that was part of their responsibility). I'm scrubbing plates and stuff and then we would stick them in a tray next to the sink. The tray was filled with boiling hot water. They would sit there until the dishwasher became available and we would load the dishes to wash them. I'm sure there is a better system, but we weren't interested in coming up with a better system. At any rate, I'm scrubbing and he's scrubbing and putting dishes in this tray of hot water when he suddenly stops. I look up at him and he has this crazy look in his eye. He the proceeds to dump the entire tray of boiling hot water all over my arms which are in the sink. It burns so ****ing bad, I thought it was serious. Turned out it was really more like getting a serious sunburn all over your lower arms, but I was pissed regardless. I chased him out of the back room, screaming and cursing something awful the whole way, kicking him and throwing **** at him. When we made our way out of the employee area, it was only then that I realized there were people dining just outside on the buffet, and they had very small children with them. I just stared at them and slowed backed up until I was in the kitchen again. I'm not sure where my buddy went...I think he continued out the door into the parking lot. I was lucky my boss wasn't there that day, because I think I would have lost my job.
she sigend the reciept, and I handed her the food. She said thanks....I got into my truck and then I ........................................................... started it and drove away. It was funny telling the other delivery guys back at the resturant. They suddenly wished that was their trip.
Damn, sounds fun. I normally get shafted with tips. Sucks driving around town with gas prices as high as they are and then not getting a tip. ...which is why I quit that job.
