Hey guys, So I know we are all disappointed about the loss, but let's still have some hope.

I was wondering if anyone can dig up some facts about 3-1 teams in the history of the NBA, maybe even sports in general.

    WE CAN DO IT.

pistons did it to the mavs in 02-03
suns did it to the lakers in 05-06

so it can be done. both of those teams had homecourt.

Uhh, how about Houston in 1995, bro'? We did it WITHOUT homecourt. This will be a piece of cake! ;)

Pistons also did it to T-Mac way back.

GOD if Yao were here this series would of been a SWEEP. This is so FRUSTRATING.

    Recently..........

2006 Playoffs - The Phoenix Suns came back to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers after being down 3 games to 1.

2004 MLB ALCS - Boston Red Sox are headed to world series after defeating their eternal rivals, New York Yankees in 4 straight defeats.

2003 Playoffs - The Portland Trailblazers fall short in their attempt to become the first team in sports history to comeback from 3-0 down to win a 7 game series.

2003 MLB NLCS - The Florida Marlins comeback from 3-1 to defeat the Chicago Cubs to win the National League Championship.

eh but most of those teams that came back from 3-1 were the better team. We lack the talent. Unless we execute to perfection and hit a crazy %.

i was just talking about the recent ones and those were the most recent (pistons did it to the magic i think).

we show we can play with this team. but we must have tmac and a fwe others shooting better than freakin' 37-38%.

we must exacute the refs, nothing more nothing less.

We got to defend the refs and force them call a low % of fouls. I say Put Scola on Tony Brothers, we'll shut down the refs if only that simple adjustment were made.

Actually, Tmac's fate started from the 3-1 lead to pistons.

Hopefully, he starts to change his fate from this 1-3 to jazz.

Though I don't have anything to back up this statement other than a bottle of wine and a good night regardless of a Rockets loss...take MY word for it...
Rockets will win game five (5) and if they can win game six (6) -- they will win the series!!! Take MY word for it...for what it's worth. Dang...that was some good wine.

Not necessarily the Red Sox were good....but the Yankees were the better team at the time.

The Trailblazers, I believe were the 7th seed in the playoffs and Dallas was tied for the best record that year with Nowitzki, Nash, Finley, and Van Exel.

The Cubs team and Marlins that year were evenly matched....and at the time Prior and Woods were studs.

Truth is this series is even so it is not naive to think we can go 3-3 because i am preety sure refs won´t be against us in games 5 and 6, the fact is that when the spurs were 3-1 down in the mavs series they stop sucking until game 7 when then again all the calls went the mavs way. I think this will end on a 7 game with the refs helping Utah a lot in the 7th game.

This is so easy. How can any of you guys forget this??

(May 16, 1995) Bill Worrell could tell something was wrong with Clyde Drexler the minute he saw him. "I've never seen an individual that sick in my life," the Rockets' television commentator said. Suffering from a bad case of the flu, Drexler made it to the arena 30 minutes before game time and put on his uniform. The Rockets, trailing 3-1 to Phoenix in the 1995 Western Conference Semifinals, were amazed that Drexler was going to play. He didn't play his usual amount of minutes, but Houston got 31 points from Hakeem Olajuwon to claim a 103-97 overtime win in Game 5 of the series.

    Then:

(May 20, 1995) Everybody expected Mario Elie to throw the ball to Hakeem Olajuwon, but Elie had a feeling he was going to be the one to kiss the Phoenix Suns goodbye. With the score tied at 110 late in Game 7 of the 1995 Western Conference Semifinals, Robert Horry spotted Elie across the floor in perfect position to get the ball to Olajuwon. "Dream was wide-open, but I had my feet set. I let it go and it felt good," Elie said. As his shot swished through the net, he ran toward the Suns' bench and blew a kiss to let them know the game was over. The Rockets won 115-114.
